Should porn stars be more respected than prostitutes ???

I'll start by saying...I've got nothing against prostitutes.........I don't look down on them in anyway...... but many people do .......

Anyway.............

Go to a porn convention in the States there will probably be a 100 strong line for a picture with Jenna Jameson, Ron Jeremy, Nina Hartley, Ginger Lynn, Tracy Adams and whoever are the porn stars of choice these days !!!!.

I suppose you could say these people are "actors" but none of them have been up for an Oscar yet !!!!!.....

At the end of the day they both screw comparative strangers for money...........

Are they right to be revered ??.... Should they be more respected ???.........Or should they have the same level of respect as prostitutes ???

I presume pornstars do a better job of declaring their income for tax.....puts them ahead for me!

Arguably more professionalism in the industry too, it's under greater regulation, 'stars' are regularly tested etc plus, I think it's a little unfair to say 'never won an Oscar'. Neither has Leo.

Yes their acting is pretty pants, but it still has an element of skill/effort which just bending over so some lonely John can dump his load in you doesn't.

I've no major judgement for either (apart from the tax bit) tbh. Bit like the argument with drugs, legalisation/decriminalisation of prostitution would allow improvements in safety, regulation, removal of the evil middle man (dealer/pimp) and increase tax receipts.....everyone's a winner!
