Hall of Famer Verne Gagne passes away.
WWE Hall of Famer Verne Gagne passed away last night, aged 89 after a battle with Alzheimers. Among his accomplishments are 16 World Title reigns, the longest combined title reigns in history, and third behind Sammartino and Lou Thesz for longest single reign. Trained future hall of famers such as Rickie Steamboat, Curt Hennig and Ric Flair. Not many people leave a legacy like that.
RIP.
RIP.

Hell of a name and I would be hugely surprised if this isn't marked at some point by WWE. He's the one I knew about before Thesz and Sammartino so I kinda consider him the name before all the modern names.
