First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Afternoon. Just landed back. Dubai was ok. Working in Kuwait was awful. Sooooooo hot.

So it seems Aled Brew is starting on Saturday. Hope Cement Head uses him properly for once. I had a scare that I'd be working on Sat, but I'm ok. Can't wait for it now. Getting a new Toby Afro if he starts (and he should)

Welcome back Rev! Ale

I should think it's pretty darn hot down there. You're back just in time for the apparent British heatwave that's supposed to happen this weekend 8) It'll probably only last two days anyway.

Dreamer,
Today, with all those jumping over from old 606, its like a new day at school. Fresh copybook and a new virtual pencil. Happy smiling faces.

We will all soon be having a few mellow digs at each other in class - just before the RWC starts. It's the natural order of things. It will help the site grow.

As long as we don't get those gobshoites, who post 21 "different", meaningless, Gavin Henson articles every day. (21 was the record, btw).
And those who have personal "gos" at each others nationalities, in a vicious and boring way, ad-infinitum. Smile

It should be easy enough to spot the usual suspects. On ALL sides.

Sure we'll all back you up. OK

All I know is, that JA606, going teets-up, is NOT all good for this site. That was their new playground. 🤦

Hi All

Busy getting ready for a bbq for 20 this evening.

Want to have a moan about something that has left me so angry I really don't know where to put myself.

Last Monday (23rd May) I ordered a repeat prescription. I STILL haven't got it because the local dispensary hasn't got it in stock. Why? Because the wholesalers are hoarding the drugs and selling them to speculators or exporting them at a higher price because the pound is so weak. Wholesalers will not release the drug unless the dispenser can show that they have tried two others previously.

I cannot believe that the state of amorality has got to such a pitch that there are speculators trading for profit in people's health to this extent.

Afternoon, Each and all,

Glad you're back safely,Rev Very Happy

here the weather continues to be warm(25 today) but as dry as.....(fill in with your favourite comparative) 2mm of rain in the last 3 months-5 miles down the road they had 22mm on Monday furious spent this afternoon mulching the veg, thank goodness there's plenty of dry grass for that.

Stade F have given their financial assurances to the watchdog;a decision will be announced next Tuesday, but we all know what it will be.

It appears Fiji won't be at the RWC;diplomatic boycott(Geoff's bruv)

Interesting head to head Novès/Galthié at the SdF on Saturday for the Brennus;probably the top 2 French coaches atm.

Shane Geraghty says he's pleased to be at Brive and wants to prove"the player that I really am" laughing

It's got them talking though, eh? Some are putting the 6-N before ALL considerations and I think that it is wrong, in any team, who wants to take on the best in the World. We must think beyond the 6-N too. Try to win it, with the right-mix, obviously. But, also use it, to change our 100 year miserable competitive history vs the SH teams. The 6-N is not big enough for us I tells ya. 8)

Carry on. Wink

I saw that Stag, we have Munster, Biarritz and London Welsh in friendlies, all away from home. I am working for the two Friday matches but will try to get down to Old Deer Park for the London Welsh one with the kids as the wife is on nights that weekend and would like a quiet house to sleep during the day.

Glad the pubs open. I need a livener after a hectic bank hol wkend. Had a top day at Wembley watching Swansea clinch a place in the premier league. I know football and their fans get the pish taken out of them but what an atmosphere before and during the game. Hymns and arias the lot!. Refreshing to see some rugby style banter with opposite fans, maybe a bit cruder Shocked at times but all in good spirits. A met copper we talked to was quite impressed. An excelant day day all round. Topped off by cars and coaches beeping horns and celebrating while waiting for the severn bridge tolls! thumbsup

Quicker leaving Wembley than Twickenham toboot!

On Huw Bennett starting at hooker for Wales, can anyone tell me what he's done since being left out of the Welsh Six Nations squad to deserve it? Or is the thinking that because he hasn't started as many regional games as Richard Hibbard and Lloyd Burns, he'll be fresher on Saturday?

Noswaith dda. Update on the ewe that come back to the fold. It seems that at some point she's broken her leg. It has set itself (thus quite badly). The relief I felt earlier has now been replaced by anger. It's not quite; somebody is going to swing for this, but I'll have to avoid swinging for them if I find them!

I watched some of the Panorama programme last night. My daughter had severe mental and phyiscal disabilites and i was sick to the stomach watching it. i had to leave the room the room at one stage looking at it. It is the sort of stuff as a parent of a child like that scares you as you don't always know what carers are doning when you are not there

I don't think I could watch it. It's bad enough when people abuse people who can't defend themselves, but when they're supposed to be caring for them, it's even harder to stomach.

Or is the thinking that because he hasn't started as many regional games as Richard Hibbard and Lloyd Burns, he'll be fresher on Saturday?

Barrel scraping going on again?

I have to admit I'm intrigued to see GH play at the weekend.

I switched to it and I had to turn it off when I realised It was real and wasn't some ficticious play. I just cant understand how humans can do that to kids who need so much care help and love. And in THEIR trust. I just cant.

Unfortunately the care profession attracts the sort of people who enjoy behaving like that.

Anyway, happy thoughts....Gibbo did you get my message?

I don't think I could bring myself to watch the programme but I have read about it. The service area I work in has very close links to the sorts of places that are being shown and to think that things like that could be happening is just truly sickening. I really hope something is done about this, whether it be stricter controls on who's employed as carers, or more frequent reviews of these places etc....just something to stop things like this happening.
