The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Guess who is the only player of note in the Welsh squad. Ideal if you're a fan of him though.

Apparently Kate Humble got her jubblies out in one of those awful TV adaptations of Jilly Cooper novels. I am yet to be convinced. If anybody finds any evidence of this be sure to let me know. We need to get to the bottom of this.

I'm off to Ludlow today for a meeting. Never been there before but at least it'll be a day out on the train.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Morning all. Been reading Rugby World this morning. I'm reading apparently that one of Georgias national sports is a game called Lelo Burti which sounds quite like rugby. Traditionally one side would try to get a leather ball across to the other sides territory and place it down into a river. The team is calle Les Lelos in honour of this.
Also there is a picture of Frances new scrum machine which looks incredible. Its a scrum machine which works electronically to act like a real scrum so it twists and turns and drops.

Mick, I'm delighted to hear you say that. I must know - Magneto how is he in it. Thats the clincher for me.

He’s good, in a doesn’t steal the show kinda way. I was really looking forward to seeing how he was portrayed and I wasn’t disappointed. Kevin Bacon is very good in it too.

I have no feeling towards the comic book genre of films at all, probably reasons for it like Tody Maguire in Spiderman, he just pisses me off the Muppet
I did have feeling for the Fantastic4 though, however that might of had something to do with Jessica Alba

Hughie it depends on the film for me. Some good some terrible.

Interesting comments by Donncha O'Callaghan giving out about Facebook/Twitter:
They've ruined the team bus. Before we would have stories and songs or we'd make fellas who had a fight kiss and make up. Now everyone is just busy tweeting and there are no chats on the bus any more. Players just tell me I'm not handy enough to use Twitter which is probably the case. Tommy Bowe is a disaster but at least he's got a bit of wit. There was a 24 hour Twitter ban after the Scotland match and I was like 'Can we drag it out longer please?'.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Ah Hughie, they’re the bubblegum movies. X-men has a bit of meat to it.
This isn’t Doctor Doom planning to take over the world and a crack squad of stretchy people save everyone. It’s a proper movie with well developed characters and a levitating submarine! (that’s not a spoiler Its in the trailer on tv).

X Men is basically about racism. Its a good old watch if you let it take hold and look past the fact its a comic book.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
hmm interesting (or not) headlines in Wales Online today. Henson to Blues, and Phillips to Bayonne? Not sure they're actually going to happen but I for one would rather Henson at the Blues then the Scarlets!

Last few comic book movies I've liked are Iron Man,X-Men ,Kickass and Christopher Nolan's Batman series. BTW,anyone see that series on Monday called the Walking Dead? It's about zombies taking over the world. Sounds weird but it was pretty good.
