The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Hi All
I need some help here please folks.
Some of you may have seen the comment I posted on Wednesday evening about a market in prescription drugs which was making it difficult to dispense drugs here in the UK. I have today spoken to a major breast cancer charity and the local cancer services network about this issue. They are both as angry and frustrated as I am, and are going through the "proper" channels.
In the meantime ...
I would like to do something like setting up a FB page to publicise the issue - but I don't know how. Can anyone help me, tell me how to do it?
Thanks.
It is very late (2.50 am), so I doubt I will see any replies in the morning. Might I suggest you send me a private message, or if you are on the FB pub, use my email. Many thanks

Hi Kia, I'm not sure of exactly how to do it and I don't have access to FB in work (apart from on my phone but i can't set up a group there). Your best option is to google it, there's no end of people will be asking the same question and plenty of people willing to give advice on how to do it!

Quite interesting the HC Seedings. Yesterday I said I wouldn't mind getting Glaws or Sarries. Turns out we can't get either.
I wouldn't really want Bath this year again so would prefer LI. Had a great weekend in Reading a few years ago. Leicester would be alright as well. I have family there
Not sure about wanting Treviso! I would prefer Aironi given a choice. I think Treviso could be extremely tricky away from home.
Toulouse or Biarritz, I don't mind either. Both will be difficult.

No only Ludlow for a meeting. Nice little town. The sort of place where they would film something like Midsomer Murders.

Morning all,
I had my sky tv set up this morning
And my service manager has just given me a couple of jars of redcurrent jelly she's made up as a thank you gift for all the hard work I've been doing over the last couple of weeks.
Me thinks today might just be a bit of a good day for me
Cari - hope you're feeling better today

Hope you’re feeling better soon Cari. Nothing worse than being under the weather when the weather is finally nice!
I’ve revised my ideal HC group by the way, the best one for away trips would be Bath, Scarlets and Montpellier.

Should be a great game. Great opportunity for some of the young Welsh players to show off their skills.
Strong BaaBaas lineup though. Isa could have a field day.

I wouldn't have thought it needed much transformation

Ah the beautiful Killanarden. They only place on the island they could find that looked like Belfast circa 1975. Not even Belfast looks like that anymore.

Munsty, have sky sports given up a lot of their coverage on the S15. I know you get some games a week but used to love getting up early on a Friday for the half 6 game as well as Saturdays.
But those games don't seem to be shown anymore.

I has a reputation you could say. Is it rough? Nah, it’s grand. It’s just got a lot of people living there that think a 3 piece suit is a tracksuit with matching runners.

Is it an overly harsh comment that scrummaging just doesn't seem to be taken seriously in the S15? Yet, it doesn't seem to hinder their players when they step up to intl level?

Yeh Cari, it's certainly getting better. wouldn't be too out of place to see several 10's of horses in gardens up there.
it's much better now to be honest and fromt he top of the hill in there you get a belter of a view right into Dublin City.

Micky,
If I remember last year and years before, SKY never showed Friday morning games so this year was an anomaly.
As,
They're good aren't they and people will remember the Highlanders now.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
That’s a fair comment As, in any S15 match I watch (which isn’t that many I admit) the scrum isn’t as feverishly contested as in the NH. They seem to be more interested in getting the ball away from it quickly. But with the exception of Australia nobody struggles with it at test level. Odd.

Ironically a lot of housing estates like that have cracking views because they tend to built well out of the way. The one we lived on had a brilliant view of the area as far as the Preseli mountains.

Morning Hughie, cheers for the papers.
Looks like Dai Young is not a happy bunny this morning to have the Blues linked to Henson, why am I not surprised.
Still tomorrow is definitely going to be an interesting day from a Welsh rugby perspective, am really looking forward to the match now

Maybe it's that they scrum at this level to get the ball where up here sometimes it seems to be to get a penalty.

Possibly, Munsty, but is that maybe because in the NH scrummaging is an art form in and of itself, whereas in the SH its simply a means to restarting the game? Hmmm ....

Disappointed with the Force this week. They played with such speed and intent last week. This week has produced much more turgid rugby.

I wonder. Yet at test level the Kiwis and Saffers are well able to mix with us Northerners. Maybe Ireland would be more suited to SH competitions. If scrummaging is an art Ireland is basically a child scribbing with crayons
