O'Driscoll does coach nice football. But it tends to be nice for the point of being nice rather than for winning games.

Always had a rocky relationship with the owners, but this looks like madness.

Heard it was transfer related.
Didn't want to sign Okazaki, but the owners said they had to sign an asian player to raise the profile over there.
Part of the problem with these owners.

Thats from Dorsett whos reasonable plugged in around these parts.
To be honest, he was a bit of a nutter who wouldn't have been worth the hassle for me. Can't praise him for the escape without acknowledging the amount of time they spent last

Understandably so, his son comes before any football club.

I think most reasonable people would understand why his sons position was no longer tenable.

I think you fall under the overprotective category if you have a major strop over a company wishing to sack your son off after a video emerges of him using racial slurs while having a gangbang on a company trip. In hindsight, he probably earned it.

Personally don't think you can pass judgement on somebody's parenting when you yourself are not a parent but unsurprisingly the three who clearly don't have children are agreeing.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
I have a 20 month old son.
I'll put it like this.
When my son goes on a school trip.
If he does/ says something wrong to the point of seriousness, to the point where the school expel him. Who should I blame?
NP's son did something wrong that is not acceptable, so the club kicked him out.
Don't blame them.

I think you're in a weak position there. If I spat in my boss' face I wouldnt expect my mother (who has worked there for 20 years) to be angry about my dismissal. Well not with anyone else but me.

Feel for Pearson, done a great job at Leciester, sacking is beyond harsh.
Dyche is a superb manager, be great if he can stay in the Premiership.

I've read that the Villa-United game's been moved to a Friday on Police advice as the EDL are planning a march through Birmingham on August 15. United can't play on the Sunday because they'll have a Champions League qualifier midweek.

Know this isn't Prem but feel it should be discussed
Swindon Town have banned all media outlets from their press conferences, only releasing press from their press officer through an app.
If I was a supporter I'd be fuming - basically only get a propaganda machine

It's the way sports journalism is going, unfortunately - Newcastle cracked down on the number of media outlets recently, I believe. There was an excellent article on the telegraph about the decline a few months ago:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/aston-villa/11553635/Aston-Villa-hero-Jack-Grealish-caught-up-in-sports-cold-war-after-midfielder-not-allowed-to-talk-after-FA-Cup-win.html

No different to how fans of other clubs have acted in the past, and as I, and many others, have said before...these people are not true fans. They are scum, and do not represent the true fan base.

None more so than this poor chap, who appears to be infested with the very victim mentality and bitterness that is a pre-requisite, I presume, if one wants to support Liverpool:
