Very early days, but Gestede & Amavi could be quality signings.

Great performance by Swansea.....
Monk is doing a great job..
As for Jose pick one....
The ball boys were to blame
Conspiracy against Chelsea by referee

Swansea were brilliant, outperformed Chelsea on the day. A flukey deflection away from victory

Stoke Liverpool could be a good game tomorrow.
Be interesting to see how the big man does this season.

Perfectly fair to disallow Norwich's equaliser. The referee has enforced the rules correctly - I don't like that rule, about the high boot, but it isn't the referee who makes the rules, he merely follows them.
Fair play to the referee for having the bottle to follow through with it.

I'll be remembering this when we're all raving about an overhead kick goal later in the season....
Anyways as I've said, we need some defensive reinforcements badly. Was a little comical at times today

Watford are gonna be fun this season - team full of goals going forward, but with a defence containing Craig Cathcart and Gomes they'll leak a few too

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Gomes will have a cracking season.
I suppose if we're bringing up posts after one game we should all be laughing off a Chelsea title challenge and praising Ranieri?
Thought the Jerome goal was questionable so can see why it was ruled out. Obvious push for the non-penalty though.

Naive medical staff....that's a new one. Perhaps if Hazard didn't have form for being a bad actress the physio team wouldn't rush to his aid every time he fell over.TRUSSMAN66 wrote:Great performance by Swansea.....

Reece Oxford (16 years old) to start for West Ham today apparently That's ballsy, I doubt Slaven would throw him in if not good enough though.

Think Southampton might have the edge today, already had the competitive games & we've been awful in pre-season. Hopefully, I'm proven wrong, but then I see that Obertan starts

The Stones highlighted as still having a fantastic game. Whereas Smalling literally won Motm as no one stood out. Good that you looked at scores and decided performances.

Think this easy arsenal win written all over though.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Poor keeping by Cech. Very uncharacteristic of him to make such poor judgement.
Anyone see why West Ham got the free kick which created the goal? A high boot near the face, very similar to why Norwich had a goal disallowed yesterday.
No complaints this time, I take it?

Wonder what the odds are on Wenger not shaking Bilic's hand at the end of the game if Arsenal lose.

Lol arsenal.
People tentative to pick them as pl winners due to the belief they will faulter at some point in the season. First day they let down.
West Ham did very well in contrast to Europa league form.

Brilliant defensive performance from West Ham. Very impressed by the young Reece Oxford (does he get his GCSE results in a couple of weeks )
Two errors from Cech gift them two extra points. A game refereed very well.
Amusing to see the plastic fans leave in their droves.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
West Ham to win. That's one of the easiest £10 I'll make this season.
Arsenal's defence looks weak still. Always surprised more teams don't have a go at Arsenal. Especially considering the huge gap they leave at the back.
