Next 6 for Joshua
First topic message reminder :
Evening all,
I think one thing we can all agree on is that Anthony Joshua needs a step up in class of opponents. Personally I see him as being around 5 or 6 fights from a world title if the step him up correctly. I'd like to see something along the lines of the following :
Charr
Stiverne
Pulev
Fury
Povetkin
World title fight
Thoughts?
Cheers

Re: Next 6 for Joshua
There's no way Joshua is going from fighting bums to fighting six high ranked fighters on the bounce. Expect a couple more journeymen followed by a Tony Thompson type and then probably a few more journeymen.

Re: Next 6 for Joshua
Think Price is a great next fight
What more can he learn then how to approach a fight where not only is he the smaller man but a fight where he can get starched at any point. This is heavy weight, the chances of a fight turning on its head multiplies at this weight and factor in the one punch KO power of.Price its a great/dangerous fight for Joshua

David Haye?
Massive money spinner so that will interest Haye and he might just fancy his chances at Joshua feeling he can dodge him for the first two rounds and then he hopefully slows down and loses power. Joshua has a massive muscly frame which could tire.
Haye also like the domestic dust up - Enzo, Audley, Chis and Fury although that fell through.
Don't like Haye and think he's a Chancer but if it was touted the British public would go crazy for it.

Hard to know Truss, Haye splits opinion. Some say he pulled out Fury fight through fear while others think he would've pancaked him in a few round. Don't know what way to look at it myself. All I do know about Haye is he likes money.

He pulled out against Fury twice and crapped it against Wlad......
I'd rather fight Wlad personally than this Monster !!..
No way...

Shannon Briggs would be more than happy to take a payday. Big. Veteran. Brave. Big Name. Decent Chin. Old. Sells. Loses

If the BBBC grant a licence to a 44 year old guy who lost to a 48 year old Foreman nearly 20 years ago and had the p**s taken out of him by Lewis a year later then they are an absolute disgrace....
Won't happen and the BBBc won't let it...and rightly so.

Re: Next 6 for Joshua
He's hardly been mentioned here but I'd pick Dillian White. He doesn't offer anything by way of a step up in terms of experience and size, but what he does bring is a bit of X Factor. If his talk is anything to go by, he would go into the fight with a genuine belief that he'd take AJ's head off and that's something that AJ has never come up against yet. You only have to look at the interview with IFL to see AJ's true feelings about White. This fight would serve the purpose of putting AJ in more of a pressure situation against a live opponent. I think he wins and wins within 5 rounds but it's still something different.
Much like a lot of others, David Price must surely be within his next 3 fights. He brings the size and power to potentially knock AJ spark out - we haven't seen his chin. Thompson is a complete waste of time, he wouldn't last 2 rounds.
Something tells me that Fury is going to avoid AJ like the plague. Whether he beats little bro or not, I just can't see Fury having the nuts to get in there with him.

People said TT wouldn't last two rounds with Price. Either time. Both times he won by KO.

Thompson is approaching his mid 40s....
Only so many times you can extract from the well..
Let's see Price pee or get off the pot with Josh..
