So much commitment in his attacking flair after losing that first set and didn't drop his head. He really might do this if he keeps his nerves

No disrespect to Stan. Playing out of this world just like I expected. I actually predicted him to win and want to see him win. Match not done yet though.....Jahu wrote:Matchpoint wrote:C,mon Jahu, Stan is lucky to have an extra day of rest. He has the momentum now.

Re: French Open Day 15. Let's get ready to crumble?...
The frustrating thing is that this is a mental meltdown from Novak.
Stan is embracing the occasion, Novak appears to hate the fact he has to go through this.
Not over yet but things are beginning to feel quite ominous.

It's not the physical exertion that hurts on consecutive match days. It's the stress of them in a row mentally

Unreal from Stan. If he plays one more set like he just did, I do not think Nole will find a way to stop him.
But I think the nerves could start playing a role now - they both could be nervous wrecks as we approach the finish line.

I wouldn't put it past Novak to go up a level here, Stan has to maintain this 1 more set for his 2nd title!

People need to stop getting so overexcited, Stan will lose his level at some point and collapse, Djokovic will win the 5th quite easily.

If it wasn't for that line call there is no question in Jahu's mind that Stan would have already won the match 7-5 6-0 6-0, gone to a party to celebrate, had a threesome with two female tennis players and re-united with his wife by now.

I don't think Novak is cracking because he played yesterday. It's just his temperament.temporary21 wrote:It's not the physical exertion that hurts on consecutive match days. It's the stress of them in a row mentally
For a player who has played on the biggest stages on many occasions, he gets stage fright a lot

If that is to happen, Novak has the seize the initiative now. Immediately. Fresh start for a new set.It Must Be Love wrote:People need to stop getting so overexcited, Stan will lose his level at some point and collapse, Djokovic will win the 5th quite easily.

Re: French Open Day 15. Let's get ready to crumble?...
What is it about Stan against Nole in slams? This is now fifth time in a row he has taken at least two sets. In the same period, they played three non-slam matches and Nole won all 6 sets - none of those was closer than 6:4.
