No, he just has to stay steady. The worst thing for him to do is trying to seize stuff.HM Murdoch wrote:If that is to happen, Novak has the seize the initiative now. Immediately. Fresh start for a new set.It Must Be Love wrote:People need to stop getting so overexcited, Stan will lose his level at some point and collapse, Djokovic will win the 5th quite easily.

A big stage and an opponent he can't smother. Novak hates it.summerblues wrote:What is it about Stan against Nole in slams? This is now fifth time in a row he has taken at least two sets. In the same period, they played three non-slam matches and Nole won all 6 sets - none of those was closer than 6:4.

HB, a truck full of them, he can melt in 2 points and go home in 20 min.
Djoko breaks.

disappointing but I had a feeling he would go 2-0 down at the start of the 4th - Djokovic slightly favourite for the match now

Let's see him hold serve and get to 3-0 first. I wouldn't bet on it...Henman Bill wrote:disappointing but I had a feeling he would go 2-0 down at the start of the 4th - Djokovic slightly favourite for the match

Sloppy game from Stan, similar to the game that cost him the break in the first set.

Honestly, if Becker was sacked as coach and replaced by me, he would win the Calendar Grand Slam.

3-0 looks like a big lead but it's only one break. This is nowhere near secure.

Djoko just not a natural volleyer. Not good at putaway volleys, but has improved on touch.

I'm inclined to agree. Stan is winning the battle of will so far today.Jahu wrote:ES saying its Stans to win or lose, Djoke will crumble.
I'm not expecting Novak to find three more holds of serve,

Re: French Open Day 15. Let's get ready to crumble?...
I don't think that as much relevance; certainly shouldn't be Djokovic's concern. Djokovic has to cut out the crappy drop shots, only go to the net when he needs to, and not try and play too attacking, instead controlling the point with angles.HM Murdoch wrote:Wow, winners is 47-22 in Stan's favour!

As I was saying. Didn't expect 3 more holds, couldn't even get 1 more.
This is so disappointing from Djokovic. Stan is tucking in on return games and I didn't expect that to be the case.

Wawrinka can win this in here in the fourth. It would be quite a win.

Stan by far the better player today. That's a reflection of both their levels.

Djokovic is spent, no aggression or confidence in his shots. Shame to come through so many tough players and save his worst for the final. Wawrinka playing great too it must be said

Yes, he does lose focus, but only momentarily and then he turns right back, mostly. Just curious, do you remember when was the last time he piled up errors like this?HM Murdoch wrote:
I don't think Novak is cracking because he played yesterday. It's just his temperament.
For a player who has played on the biggest stages on many occasions, he gets stage fright a lot

Djokovic is physically shot for me. Stan playing exactly the right game here and he just needs to stay solid and he'll get a chance to break and he'll become a dual slam winner.

Re: French Open Day 15. Let's get ready to crumble?...
I am not sure IMBL would make the best coach for Djokovic in matches against Nadal. He would probably tell him to give him lots of short high bouncing balls on his forehand.

Re: French Open Day 15. Let's get ready to crumble?...
I looked a while ago and they had almost exactly the same UEs, Stan far ahead on winners, and yet totally even on total points (that was a few games ago). I guess Djokovic must be doing better on forced errors but it's a bit curious.

It's the standard Djokovic RG - confident start, a few yips appearing toward the end and a disappointing final.slashermcguirk wrote:Djokovic is spent, no aggression or confidence in his shots.
