Seen you have signed Shamier Fenelon today.

Shame he never got given a chance to show what he could of done, especially towards the end of the season when our strikers were errrrr yeah. Always scored for fun in the development team and always seemed to score when he was out on loan to League 2 sides.

Hope he does well for our Sussex friends.

Now there's a 2 division gap we're "friends" again Laugh

Not a fan of signing players released by Brighton but Fenelon is a local boy, went to the same school as me (although he's nearly 9 years younger than me so I've no idea who he is...)

We also signed Luke Rooney again, he was on loan a couple of years ago but did nothing. Now we're a league lower so might actually do well.

Even smaller budget than before and building the squad mostly from scratch (again), although if we keep Izale McLeod we've got a chance.

You don't always need a big budget. You and Luton to fight it out for top spot. You heard it here first!!

Was at the burgess hill v Crawley friendly tonight. Thought Crawley played some nice football and looked very dangerous going forward. Full backs looked awful though.

You're fans are a passionate bunch though, sheer delight when you scored you're goals, wasn't sure if I was watching a pre season game or a end of season finale Laugh

I must have missed the memo that celebrating goals wasn't allowed Wink

Both fullbacks on trial so no issues there (unless we can't replace them).

Fulham at home on Saturday, having paid out for my season ticket I resent paying an extra £10 for a home friendly, so I'll give it a miss.

You lot looked shockingly bad tonight, good luck for next season, you're gonna need it.

Also hope you're keeper is ok, looked like he was gonna cry when were abusing him, as 1,2,3 goals went past him Laugh

I wouldn't know, I don't often do friendlies.

Well done on smashing a bunch of trialists in Crawley Town shirts though Ok!

Beat Reading 1-0 last night, nice to end the home friendlies on a high. Made a few signings funded by the upcoming sale of Izale McLeod (who wasn't going to stay in League 2 when he scored 20 League 1 goals last season).

Apparently a lot of loyal fans are getting banned as well for asking perfectly reasonable questions about financial matters involving the club.

Can't see Crawley doing much this session, club is being ran awfully. Only thing going well for them is they have a decent manager in Mark Yates.

We dramatically slashed our playing budget. You won't be getting a return on that bet unfortunately.

Mate of mine who plays for Three Bridges told me, been a fan for years.

Shame for Sussex really as we're losing a little side from the football league, don't like seeing Sussex sides being relegated, all the more so when there's no rivalry what so ever.

We won, so I'm bumping the thread.

Didn't play well, cheated as much as we could and nearly threw it away against 10 men, but 3 points is 3 points.

Been bought for £1 by a Turkish consortium led by a guy who already owns a second tier side in Turkey. Looking like we're their feeder club and also a backdoor into selling their players to English clubs Laugh

Still, got to be better having football people investing rather than slashed budgets and local businessmen getting bored.

Gonna end in tears. However hopefully it means they can become a stable league 2 side and won't worry about relegation anytime soon.

TBH we're not worried this season. 14 points above the relegation zone despite a bad run of form since the new year. Comfortable mid table this season.

No I hope not. No secrecy anyway, the new owner has made himself known which is a bonus, it took years for the old owners name to be revealed!

Seems like Chris Atkinson has returned back to us... How did he get on during his one month loan spell Marky?

Came on as a late sub in our defeat at home to Notts County, played 90 mins in our defeat at Yeovil, sub in our defeat at home to Mansfield, played 80 odd mins of our win at Stevenage, played 90 mins in the shambolic 4-1 defeat at Accrington, played but was subbed off in our 1-1 draw with Plymouth (we were losing when he went off), played 90 mins in a pathetic 2-0 defeat at Orient. Was here for 2 months in total.

Then he went back and we signed some other players on loan or freebies, and have won 2 drawn 1 of our last 3 games.

Results don't help his case but didn't particularly stand out even when we were playing poorly. Did a job as we were light in midfield due to injury and suspension but at the moment we're playing better without him, although we're also playing better without Lewis Young at right back (he's Ashley Young's brother and usually a winger who can't cross) and without Lee Barnard upfront (as useful as a chocolate fireguard) so not blaming Atkinson at all.
