Warren signs Vijender Singh

Warren has signed up Vijender Singh. Former Commomweath Silver and Olympic/World Bronze medalist.

Vijender is a bit of a celebrity in India. Depending on how well he fares in the professional ranks this could be a little bit of a coup for Frank.

Thoughts?

Marketed well he can make Frank some decent wonga, but I doubt he'll amount to much.

He won't amount to much, it's been a long time since he's made an impact on a world amateur event and at 29 he lacks the ability of a Lomachenko or Rigondeaux to jump straight in at the deep end.

India is a big market and Frank has experience with South Asian's under his belt.

No surprise to see Strongy jumping straight in support of Frank......

Wonder if he'll still be supporting him when Frank makes a packet of money and collapses his company to avoid paying Singh??

Hardly jumping to support Warren Toppy, keep things in perspective.  Amir Khan is of South Asian decent.

Khan is British-Pakistani, ridiculous to insinuate that he is supportive of some kind of Frank success rate with South Asians. Especially since all Khan's success has been pretty much since he ditched Frank and went with Goldenboy following the Salita joke fight.

Think it could be a good move by Warren, Opens up the indian market for him and if he's matched carefully, could be a very good move for him. As for Singh himself, we'll find out if it's a good move when the dust settles.

29 is late to be moving over to the paid ranks so he will have to be moved pretty quick

Khan is British whilst Singh isn't that's where your comparison fails.

Khan is rightfully very proud of his heritage but that doesn't stop him being English and has a) won an Olympic silver medal under the flag of the UK and b) fights with the union jack on his shorts every single fight.

He's  English because he won a silver medal, nothing justifies nationality quite like a winner.  Did you not hear Mo Farah is back to being Somalian.

Khan is British of Pakistani heritage, like many of a similar background he feels an affinity and pride in and towards both of those cultures and countries. It's really not that difficult a concept.
