Dillian Whyte v Irineu Costa
Anybody else think that Costa took a dive?
Looked very suspect to me.

Looked that way to me. First knock down punch looked like a glancing forearm on the top of the head, Costa was laughing in his corner right after the fight.
Looked part of a strategically planned whyte Joshua build up. I expect whyte's next opponent to go in similar fashion.

No, the right hand that landed before the first knockdown did most of the damage and he just didn't recover, factor in that he's been stopped four times in five defeats he just doesn't have good whiskers.

The same thought ran through my mind, he looked like he took a bit of a dive but maybe he felt the power and didn't want to get involved. I had the same issue yesterday trying to dodge paintballs, I got hit once and wanted no more

They were two glancing blows at the top of the head. Seen plenty of shots like that end fights. They don't look much but certainly put fighters down.
Personally, I thought his legs did look like they had gone so think it was genuine.

I'm still not sure and I've watch it a few times. Looked like he just decided to shut his eyes and fall down.
Very shady.

My read is that he was fighting johnny paycheck. Johnny paycheck realised he doesn't get paid for overtime, was hired to lose, got hit hard, and decided he was out rather than being unable to continue.
I don't think the fix was in for a first round ko. Its just a problem with boxing, why take a beating? Some journey men will do it as it means repeat business, but they are a rare commodity in the heavyweight division.
The heavyweight division, turds at the bottom, turds at the top, and turds in the middle.

6ft 3...18 and a 1/2 stone a perennial loser...Did anybody expect him to not look for the cosiest place to lie down...
I'll watch it later but I have no doubt Halling and watt remarked that the Joshua-fodder "beat this guy quicker than so and so did!!"

Pretty much exactly that. The 'no one else has done it in one round' script.

Nobody think that Whyte has the chance to flip the script on Joshua?
He seems pretty useful. I do worry about his slow feet leaving him stuck on the end of AJ's punches however.

Halling said "it took Price 6 rounds to get rid of this guy Jim and Whyte did it in one"
or words to that effect

Watched this fight last night.............Pathetic really wasn't it....
Should have kept the guy's purse....18 1/2 stone...
Don't see anything in Whyte....He's dead man walking.
