I'd need to see the first one, but if its as described (purposefully blocking a quick throw) then you get cards for them 50% of the time.

United could do a lot worse than following up their interest in Mane before the deadline passes. Making things happen for Southampton

Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin in midfield with Herrera as the 10, we should create a lot more with him in an advanced position, aside from that the rest of the team stays the same.

As a neutral, disappointed that Montero is injured, could of been a real test for Darmian.

De Bruyne confirmed. Replaces Navas you'd assume in the starting XI, and that three behind Aguero will be a nightmare to pick up.

Personally I think it should be Mata or Herrera at the number 10 (if LVG insists that Rooney will be the lone striker for the season), Mata should not, should never be out wide. We need pace on the wing, somebody who can beat a man and get the ball in the box not look for a cute pass before passing back to halfway if nothing is on.

From a United viewpoint for a game that started as brightly as it did it was disappointing to see us to refer back to the brand of nonsense boring 'football' the moment Swansea got a sniff of a chance

Gonna stick my neck out and suggest De Gea would have kept out both of those

Although this result could prove a blessing in disguise (if it proves to be dropped points)_ as arrogant as LVG is, surely not so arrogant to not add to this squad

Let's face it, we knew this United side was awful, this is the first decent side & they've shown United's weaknesses. Rooney awful, schweisteiger is so slow & old & Romero is appalling. lVg's new team is pretty awful

Quite harsh assessment, John. Swansea away is going to be a difficult fixture for every team in the league. Dealt with them quite well until that burst. Romero by all accounts is not a starting keeper long term in LVG's eyes.

Would be lovely for Swansea to carry on this way and knock Spurs out of the top six come the seasons end.

Yeah my mate referred to Swansea as a banana skin earlier which I felt was a bit harsh. No team should be confident of going to the Liberty and leaving as winners, but we've been our own worst enemies. The undroppable Rooney stupidly gifted possession for the equaliser and then Romero may as well be made of water for the go ahead goal (granted Smalling was caught flat footed to begin with)

He's been fantastic today. Little bit caught out on the goal but he's been let down by those in front of him and probably expecting Rooney to touch the ball.

Ayew best player on the pitch but Williams was brilliant.

Depay poor again (only decent games have come against Brugges)
Rooney poor again - he is not cut out for the lone striker role
Mata although he scored is not a winger
Less said about Romero the better

Only highlight from that game is Shaw who continues his impressive start to the season

Think United will sign two, maybe three players now before the deadline, deffo one striker who will start against the scousers and Rooney will be dropped. Needs to be shown his place is by no means guarenteed. A new winger and keeper as well please
