It couldn't happen to a nicer manager either, is it too early to say they're out of the running?

Well they've lost as many games as last season already & It's pretty much a 4 game gap that Citeh could blow.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to mention that the pronunciation there should be closer to 'browner' than 'broyne'.Fernando wrote:Kevin De Bruyne on for Sergio Aguero due to Injury.

Citeh heading 11pts clear of Chelsea
Arsenal 2nd - 5pts behind can be jumped by Liverpool or United if win.

Long ball United are back in action today with Fellaini up top. 36m & Martial can't even start over Fellaini

Hardly surprising we haven't started with Martial against Liverpool is it Nando.

United better be changing the way their midfield works, if they have guys running beyond fellaini it could work well, if not it should be easy to defend

Really poor game, with no quality, between two average sides

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
This game was always going to be a slow drab affair, doesn't help when we have the five best passers on the pitch but none of them capable of the incisive one.

You can see how these two have only managed 5 goals in 8 league games between them. Nothing on show going forward

And the midfield of Lucas, Milner and Can might be the most uninspiring in the division. Genuinely awful

United have upped their game this half - Liverpool are awful tho. Why Rodgers hasn't changed the system to get someone properly in support of Benteke I dunno

2-0 down, takes off a striker playing left wing, to put on a striker. Left wing.
Is Rodgers mentally challenged? Or just stupid?

Words can't describe how bad this Liverpool team is. It's going to be a long depressing season. Well played Manchester United, better performance in the second half and deserved to win.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Game of two halves excitement wise.
Always good to beat Liverpool but they are a very poor side with a clueless manager, those 11 players with e,g villa, stoke etc you'd expect a comfortable home win.

We're not an awful team and will be very hard to beat through the season, it just takes us a bloody long time to get those gears winding to create chances.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
So it seems Anthony Martial is in fact for the present Man Utd manager LVG and Man Utd have pulled off a blinder in the transfer market and they knew all along what they were doing rather than being clueless and making it up as they went along.

All aboard the Martial Hype train! Next stop Ballon D'or. Choo choo!
In seriousness though, you can't really ask for a better debut than to score against your fans most hated foes.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
I love Brenda - Called the penalty dubious
Also HH i said Martial should start A) Cos Fellaini be crap up top B) Skrtel & Lovren would be as easy a partnership to face as any since both have the turning circle of a boat & Martial rather quick.
Still makes me chuckle people going he's only young & new shouldn't be thrown in at the deep end, He's been playing for Monaco in the CL last year & Their games against PSG (This is known from watching an unhealthy amount of football)
