Premiership teams who play goal music really should be docked points

You wonder if Bournemouth will be this seasons Burnley. Ultimately short of the requisite quality

Mbokani was closer to smashing the keeper than the ball there

I think they'll go down with that valiant, underdog tag the press love. They'll play how they play and look nice as they go down. They're now my third alongside Norwich and Sunderland.

Bournemouth at home are much closer to Hoolahan and Jeromes level than most the league.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
See, I think thats unfortunate. Hes doing what a lot of players do, putting their foot over the ball to get body control of the challenge. Hes just got it wrong, mixed with Ayew being a lot quicker.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
You see players use that technique to get over and past the ball then use their body to have the position of strength. I mean, its not exactly a stamp, you cant really stamp with stretched leg like that. And he'd have to be a bit telepathic to know Ayew's leg was gonna fly in there to be stamped on.
Its daft and reckless, but its not an attack of any sorts.

It sounds like Harry Redknapp wants the job himself.Fernando wrote:If you throw enough money at him i could see Carlo taking it. You know it's bad when even Harry Redknapp is right about your side being sh*t

He does mostly because it gets people like you to talk about him and not the team being sh!t. But we've been sh!t for too long for that to work as often as it used to.
Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Begovic makes me want Hilario back. And Hilario once took a step two feet the wrong way after the shot was made before trying to make a save.

I doubt he gives a toss what I think really, the team is crap and the manager acting like a spoilt child doesn't hide that in the slightest.

Slightly knee jerk. Begovic is the only reason Aguero didn't score 4 in the first half.

Do you really buy that? That line is so old hat, and it doesnt work. No one is saying "Mourinho is acting like a pr*ck, not sure why though cos his team are doing great."

What's there to look forward to as a spurs fan? Same rubbish season in season out, nothing football, crappy Thursday night games...least we've got ups and downs and are generally entertaining.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Nah. Spurs fans are like Liverpool fans without the history. Its always their year to break into the top pack, they're always full of pretty much world class players playing great football, they're always a lot better than anyone else outside the top four. In their minds.
No one likes Spurs.

Ryan Mason and Eric Dier as their central midfield two is arguably as poor a central midfield as there is in the league.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Sadly, the generation of Spurs fan that your father was part of has pretty much faded away. Spurs are now becoming a business, and their current generation of fans have more than bought into the buzzwords. Really, the best Spurs side to watch in my memory was Arry's, and it wasnt driven by this "philosophy" nonsense they talk at the moment. He mixed it up, found a lot of success using Crouch as a direct target and having VDV play off him.
Daniel Levy doesnt help. Not very well liked by those who deal with him, and notable aggravation caused to us, Southampton and West Brom in the recent window.

At least with Spurs they have quality players every now and then, a Berbatov, Modric, Bale, Eriksen etc.

One scored the winner & the other was MOTM today

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Most clubs do. We've probably had just as many quality players in that time. But we wouldn't be almost demanding a spot in the top four. They made some very good business choices just as the trapdoor of financial benefit closed the elite from the rest. And as they struggled to capitalise on that you can see the distance forming between the big boys and Spurs again.

One's second ever premier league goal, in a side where he usually plays advanced in midfield, and the other who did a tidy job. Indicative of how bad a game that was that Dier could get motm. Not sure anyone deserved it. Yet neither are quality on the ball or particularly creative. They were an awful side to watch today in an awful game.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
And I'd say fans from all clubs which have had past glories at some point in their history hark on about it, West Ham fans with the 'we won the World Cup', Liverpool with their 70/80s teams, Norwich with their win at Bayern Munich and finishing 3rd in the 1st Premier League.
