First topic message reminder :

It's more the leaving it to the last minute which is nonsense. It is appalling business practice for the buyer to do this, as the seller knows they can keep the price high.

What is the point in the window being open for two months if nothing gets done until the last day? Just make it a day long, the opposite of a DFS sale.

So do I and good luck to England too, break a leg.

Im guessing at least one B&I team will fail to get out of their group. Possibly Wales as they have such a tough group (four of the worlds top 10 teams in one group).

England/Wales group definitely the toughest of the home nations, Scotland's group not easy for them either... I'd fancy England to get out, depends on which Aussie and Wales teams turn up. Wales tend to up their game on the WC stage even though they have some key injuries... Tough to call, fancy England and Wales though...

They will be doing well to beat them, I agree. But its pretty much a home tournament for Wales, and as I said they do tend to up their game for the WC. Its a tough group no doubt just fancy an upset.

For Ireland, will be interesting. Beat France and we should top the group and will all likely play Argentina.

If we beat them then we will get to our first semi final.

Every chance we could lose to France, then we will face the all blacks, which you would fancy us going out in the quarters again.

French game is massive, would fancy us to beat Italy. Should obviously win the other 2 games.

Hopefully it will be a good tournament on the whole.

I think Australia will get through pretty easily. Their pack appears to be on the way up and their backs will give anyone a game and beat most.

I went out for a run at half time thinking SA would turn on the gas for the 2nd half, couldn't believe what I saw when I got back!

Great for the game and great for the tournament, I don't know if its a good or bad thing for Scotland though...

I was in a pub where they were showing football .. Hammers beating City almost as big a shock! But a mate was texting me watching the rugby. Apparently 22-22 with 20 minutes to go and that was a shock itself. To hear the final result was gobsmacking. Has there ever been a bigger shock in nearly 30 years of RWC?

Does anyone else think that shutting down the Solheim Cup thread was a little heavy handed and over the top from the mods. FFS, fights are one of the best bits about internet forums.

Get the thread opened up and lets have it out.

Another bad day for Navy. (it was surely he who pooped his pants and shut it down).

Yeah why was the Solheim thread locked? There was some fairly blatant trolling from JockstrapBoy but plenty of other debate on there that was surely staying within any bounds

If something else was said (and deleted) then the person who posted it should be dealt with, not the whole thread locked to the detriment of the rest of us

Ah the easy option.

Why assume another thread? A quick glance would tell you that was the only thread (I don't know why)

Deal with JockstrapBoy but don't stop us talking about a major golf event. Whatever happened to leaving it to golf mods? I don't recall you ever posting (or locking) in here before

Easy option. Bah

Ease up, Davie. The easy option is often the best, especially on Sunday's when less mods are around. Tis not a majorly contentious issue, sometimes we need to cross mod.

I've been driving, but I'll unlock it now and I'm sure reasonable discussion will win the day.

Enjoy yourselves

Last six England v Wales games in Twickers is 4 v 2 wins to England.

You don't consider that a reasonable record? My only thought would be that 66% record against an average team like Wales maybe isn't that great .. but if they are as strong as you seem to suggest then I'll revise that opinion and say a 66% record seems pretty strong to me

Get the thread opened up and lets have it out.

Another bad day for Navy. (it was surely he who pooped his pants and shut it down).
Unfortunately for you, this is a bad statement for Mac. Very bad.
I had XXXX all to do with shutting it down - I don't even recall seeing the thread. I had stuff all time on here Saturday and as I was playing golf all XXXXing Sunday south of Grantham, I had little chance to pander to your stereotyping of people.

Of course its not good. You should win all your home games in rugby. England are the third best team in the world at the moment so a 66% and 50% chance as you put it of winning their two key group games is not great odds. After SA (who are terrible now) and NZ, Australia and Wales are probably the toughest teams England could have got in their group so they would take group qualification right now in a heartbeat. Anyone would.

Not saying I disagree as I know nothing about rugby but this comment seems an odd one. Can anyone explain to me why you should win all your home games in rugby?

Of course it's an odd one

Two teams with world rankings very close in positions 3 and 4 and he thinks a team should always win at home Leprechaun
