Its hard to think of a potential worse #1 seed pairing than New England and Denver. New England can't do anything offensively right now and Osweiler just isnt good.

Kinda had questions about the Cardinals ability to matchup to heavyweights when it counted. Blowing out teams with issues in the regular season is one thing.

No offense fella, but all 5 teams should.
Carolina vs Seattle looks pretty tasty though. Cards just ran into the first elite team theyve played all year.

Haha! Don't you worry GSC, as happy as I am with the way 2015 went for the Redskins, I'm still all too aware of our place in the pecking order.

Good job we get Edelman, Amendola, Chandler back healthy for the playoffs then. Watching the game today I have no idea why they played Brady, they clearly were playing such a watered down playbook on offence. Gronk didn't run one route over the middle all day.
Said all along just get healthy for the playoffs, and I'm happy with our chances if we have to go into Denver (although whether they make it is questionable too)
Most jets loss ever - Watkins put revis on toast and Ryan Fitzpatrick became himself again.

I'd argue today didn't really count that much for Arizona tbf...and not sure the matchup to heavyweights argument is fair seeing as they went into Seattle and won, beat Cincinnati and green bay. Only juggernaut team they have not played is Carolina. Can't help the schedule

The 49ers have sacked Tomsula but are keeping Trent Baalke as GM. Chip Kelly apparently wants the HC job. Kaepernickk and Kelly could be fun.
Onto the playoffs. I liked the Chiefs preseason and was very surprised when they went 1-5. They seemed to have coped well without Jamaal Charles and could be a lively playoff team going in from their 10 wins on the bounce.
I can't see the Broncos winning the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning against the likes or the Panthers, Seahawks or Cardinals defence. They may even struggle to win their divisional game.
Not sure where the Patriots are with injuries. How many fit players they can get on the field may prove how well they can defend their title.
The Steelers will have to rely on their passing game with both Bell and Williams out although they do have plenty of good receivers.

I think keeping Pagano is fine, guy has 44 wins in 4 seasons and playoff success despite grigson putting an awful roster together. I've no idea why Grigson was kept, the guy stinks as a GM.

He's done as well as someone could do with the tools given to him by his GM. He isn't the best coach, but I don't think there's a better candidate out there for them to hire either

Today in 'only the Browns':
Johnny Manziel spent Saturday in Las Vegas in a wig and fake moustache going by the name 'Billy', and the team have just hired Jonah Hill from Moneyball.

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread V
Strange decision, that. My guess is that they'll put Koetter in charge, which is a good move, in my opinion.
I had high hopes for Lovie but a defensive coach calling the defensive plays just can't have results as poor as ours have been. We had the number five overall offense and a 6-10 record.
Also, we tied for the league lead in penalties. We just weren't a very well-coached team.
But, I think we represent a fantastic opportunity for any potential head coach candidates. A fantastic young QB, a great number one WR, a strong, young offensive line and some great front seven talent on defence.

The timing seems very strange on several levels. Why wait until the rest of the league has scheduled several interviews before you fire him?
That said, he felt like a poor hire when it happened.

Think it's the correct move, although agree the timing is strange.
Be interesting to see who is brought in as DC and what defence they'll run - Pr4wn I presume the personnel is more suited to a 4-3 than a 3-4?
