Music Cup Round 7 - Countries & Cities (Pick 3!!)
Music Cup 2015 Round 7: Countries & Cities
First topic message reminder :
Dancingweeman courts controversy this week (well Adam moaned about it) with his winner of Thin Lizzy because it was chosen in a previous round, rules are rules though (or lack of) and I'm not going back through previous rounds each week to check so feck it!
Tina plays catch up at the top with his miserable choice of The Drugs Don't Work, ironically I met Richard Ashcroft a few years ago and he was certainly prophetic in his title looking at him.
Adam and I share the spoils in 3rd place, him picking one of the iconic figures of Hip Hop, whilst I pick a geek from Sheffield.
Compelling and Rick both play it safe to remain at the top with their choices of Oasis & Nirvana...YAWN!
CJB scores a respectable 5 with Snoopy Doggy Woggy Doo Daa.
Nadz joins for the first week and already overtakes Galted with the bizarre choices of D12's Purple Pills, think some may have been taken by those that voted for that crock of crap.
And last up is a blast from my past in Terrorvision's Tequila, many a student night was had belting that out (one ended in me drinking the aforementioned drink from my best mate's sister's bellybutton) and the classic Heroin by Velvet Underground, that really should have got more votes.
Scores on the doors
It's nailtight at the top with a threesome but not one of those you dream about, more like when your Mrs tells you she'd like one and then invites your dad. Worse still is it's being followed up now by Adam & I. At the bottom? Galted. That just explains everything.
Next Round!
Hundreds & Thousands
Any song in which the title or artist has a number in it. As usual send me a PM with your top 3 choices (or just the 1 if you pick crap ones like Rowley and Galted that no-one else in their right mind would choose).

It's a f*cking scandal. My one has a less than impressive amount of votes even though the performers' name contains a country and there's country in the song's name.

I voted for both if any consolation.

The Clash making a late dash for the line.

Good.
The name of the song is 'London Calling'. There is no plural.
More inconsistencies.

Would like to see the Clash win, probably my favourite song on there that meets the criteria.

I must admit, I thought mine would be doing better, not that I picked it for popularity.

Re: Music Cup 2015 Round 7: Countries & Cities
I appreciate that Tina, but if it is a straight shoot out, as it appears to be between NWA, the Clash or the frigging soft rock drivel that is Boston there is only really one sensible option.

True.
None of them are my picks.

Boston will this round. I'm absolutely convinced of it - it's more than a feeling.

Would the plural not be Londons Calling?

Re: Music Cup 2015 Round 7: Countries & Cities
Results!
Two big shocks this week in the scoring with Rick_Dagless and myself blowing our chances of a win with poor choices. We went old school with Frank Sinatra and the Beach Boys and it blew up in our faces.
CJB's choice meanwhile of Straight Outta Compton romped home with 10 points, is there a secret Crips and Bloods section on the site?
Compelling meanwhile is Mr Consistency, apart from his Elton John episode he's scored a minimum of 6 points in each round.
Adam creeps up the board with menace into 3rd place overall with the soft rock Boston, welcome to dullsville.
Then there's a load of guff fighting it out for the scraps, countries, cities, continents, jeez how difficult is it for you lot to understand a basic principle of a round, one round I'll just going to say pick a song on anything and one of you will still balls that up. Like herding cats at times.

How are there people still losing to me. I have only picked a sensible song in one round.
