The TMO might sound like a pain in the back side, but how many tries would of been awarded that should not have been awarded if he had not interveend.

Italy seem to have come to run the ball - how odd.
France look quite good but then horribly sloppy

I can't say that I have heard it GF as I am not really listening to the commentators but it does sound like naughty naughty boy-speak so what the hell is it supposed to mean?

I think exit strategy refers to hoofing the ball as far away as possible when stuck near your own try line

Another good game.. Aren't we lucky.
Italy are a strong side, France are not finding this game as easy as I thought they should.

Heard it several times yesterday and loads through the games today.
Trying to sound sophisticated..."they need to be clear on their exit strategy"
Ah F*%k off its a clearance kick!!!!!

Don't think much of this Italian performance. France are threatening when they put it all together.

Re: Pool D - France v Italy
I love it when that happens i.e. a scrum-half (normally Greg Laidlaw) spends so long waving his hands about behind his back as if he has just dropped his guts, that the other team counter-ruck and win the ball. Stop poncing about and just get the ball away from the ruck, ya numpty!

Gah! That's a real bugbear of mine. Youngs (and Care) tend to do that too often. Gesticulate, look around, then reach back without looking properly and either the opposition kick through the ruck or the ball has moved and you knock-on.

Why don't they just automatically start reviewing every try upstairs as soon as a player goes over?majesticimperialman wrote:The TMO might sound like a pain in the back side, but how many tries would of been awarded that should not have been awarded if he had not interveend.

Gutted for Huget. Such a classy player, the kind of player a World Cup needs.

This group looks done and dusted with Ireland and France just got to decide who goes through in the top position.

Re: Pool D - France v Italy
Anyone know the record for the most penalties awarded by a ref without him carding anyone or even issuing one captain or the other, a final warning? I think he must have left the cards in the pocket of his jeans.

not at all convinced the ball was actually touched to the base of the post for that try - looked like his arm was between the ball and the post ...

Re: Pool D - France v Italy
That tends to be good enough, heaf. Just think how often a player is carrying the ball in a bent arm next to his chest and he dives in; just as often as not, it looks like the guy's own arm stops the ball reaching the ground but the try is always given

Can't believe this guy was considered the best in the world 4 years ago. Never been the same since bottling that final.

Italy was an utter shambles, Sarto is basically the only good player in that team. When are they going to play a play off game against Georgia to see if they stay in the 6N?

Geez, I had forgotten about that MM. Was the game not an absolute shocker - possibly because of the referring?
