DeGale v Bute 14/11/2015 in Quebec

Looks like Haymon is testing DeGale's resolve with this one. Especially being away from home. If this fight doe come off, I think DeGale schools him and stops him mid-late rounds.

I'm thinking the same, I feel Degale is going to have to make sure it doesn't go to the scorecards, could be on the end of a dodgy decision.wheelchair1991 wrote:This could be tricky for degale

Bute does not respond well to pressure being put on him i don't know if Degale is the best at that

Bute for me. Degale simply hasn't got the work rate over 12 rounds to get a decision over him in my eyes. Going to be close though.
Nice fight though, I'm not exactly going to pile on Bute. Genuine pick'em. If I was a chunky supporter I'd be worried about those rounds where he starts dreaming of whatever it is he does when he switches off. Against a good fighter (Dirrell almost pulled it out of the bag after two knockdowns) with a bit of heart I can see him dropping decisions.

There's too much paranoia concerning UK fighters performing on foreign soil and how they're bound to be robbed if the fight is anything even resembling close - why? Degale got treated fairly against Dirrell, a win which was deserved but close. Likewise Brook against Porter. You can chuck McDonnell-Kameda in to the mix as well. Burns-Figueroa was dubious, I'll accept that, but that's not enough to automatically assume that every British fighter is two rounds down before starting.
I don't think there's any real casue to worry about the judges.
Besides, Degale should be beating Bute handily enough to make the possibility of an injustice on the cards a moot point, for me. Especially if he's serious about taking on and cleaning out the best that the division has to offer. Didn't see Bute's last fight, but he's been very inactive since Froch, moving up and down in weight and has looked short on confidence to say the least. He looked good in patches against Pacsal when he actually opened up but fought way too tentatively and didn't seem to trust his chin anymore. He was much the same against Grachev.
Bute still has decent skills and speed, but not as much as Dirrell has and if Degale is beating him, he should be beating Bute a little more handily. Bute is a bigger puncher, but Degale's defence was largely excellent against Dirrell and it was really only lulls in activity which put the decision in jeopardy. Everything is stacked in Degale's favour to win this and look good in doing so from a physical and mental point of view.
I'd be a little surprised if it's close. Think Degale wins without a great deal of hassle.

Degale should stop him, but going to Canada is a bit risky ... Why not do the fight in London so we can go see it?

More money in Canada. Bute can shift tickets there far better than DeGale can here
