He's only gone and done it again.  For the second week running, and for the third time overall, AlciG triumphs in a playoff.  This time McLaren was the unlucky loser as both of them picked the winner in Jaidee, both of them picked John Parry, and that's where McLaren came unstuck.  His third remaining pick didn't make it into a scoring position whereas AlciG had Charl Schwartzel who had a top 20 finish.

Pedro and Eyetoldyouso also picked Jaidee and Eyetoldyouso backed that up with another pick scoring points.  Sand had the most picks score points as four of his five did so.  Hibbz matched AlciG by having three picks score points.  1grumpyGolfer, Beninho, Davie, LadyPutt, and TheCleaver all had two picks score points. BlueCoverman, EmmDee57, I'm Never Wrong, KwiniGolfer, Owen10ozzy, and Raycastleunited all had one pick score points.

Scott Hend shot 65 for the low round score while Albin Choi had a 78 for the worst round.  Richard Finch finished at the bottom of the pile on +6.

After a break of five years the European Open returns to the European Tour in another country and with a new venue.  The Golf Resort Bad Griesbach plays host to the resurrected event with Bernd Wiesberger the OWGR headliner and a number of FedEx Cup dropouts joining in with the fun.  Hunter Mahan, thongchai Jaidee, Charl Schwartzel, and Byeong Hun An also in attendance from the top 50.

There is no defending champion in the field, Christian Cevaer was last winner, so Ross Fisher is the most recent winner in the field.  Old timers Stephen Dodd, Kenneth Ferrie, Mattias Gronberg, and Bernhard Langer are all in the field playing as past winners.  Langer is a two time winner with victories coming ten years apart; 1985 at Sunningdale and 1995 at the K Club.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

That was a horrid day; I've not been doing this long but can't imagine you've had too many others where lost so many players to the cut! Still clinging in there but those with 5/6 picks will likely clamber above me over the weekend.

The low score record is 5 points from having one pick make the cut and this dubious honour has been achieved on a couple of occasions. I know I've done it, Davie's done it, maybe some others too

Pedro actually had two of the five and he top scored in round 3. 1GrumpyGolfer, AlciG, Eyetoldyouso, Hibbz, Kwinigolfer, McLaren, Sand, and SetupDetermines were the other Fantasy Leaguers to earn points.

Pelle Edberg pipped Thongchai Jaidee to the low round score by shooting 63. Wade Ormsby had a bad day with a 78; he looks like he might be in with a chance of last place with that score.

Won't be me; I'm more Dustin Johnson...struggles with consistency and when I do get into the race for top spot I ultimately choke and fade over the weekend!
