Could be Arsenal's year, especially with all the free time they'll get from not being in Europe,

They'll fail when the going gets tough as they do every year.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
How true is that though? I mean obviously Wenger's been involved in failed Arsenal charges, but how many of the current players have? You've got a guy like Cech who has four PL titles. Sanchez has a few Continental titles. Özil is a world champion. A few winners in that dressing room.

And yet they still choke every season. In the DNA.

Keep swinging Tim.
Hopefully we can get the win next weekend and start to turn things around.
More mistakes costing us again.

Typical Norwich lay an egg game today - against a team who is on a horrible streak, has injury issues and is on tv.
Pretty much guaranteed 2-0 defeat. Gut is not giving me a good feeling

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Arsenal won't win it, they don't have the temperament for it and haven't for 10 years now, having players in the team who have won things doesn't make them winners. Sanchez, Ozil and Cech were parts of winning teams, they weren't the driving force the way Vieira, Henry, Campbell, Adams or the like were. When the going gets tough they'll go missing.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Those players became winners, and this side has some in it already before we consider the FA cup wins. Ozil, Cech, Sanchez, Cazorla, Mertesacker in there, the cup wins, even Ramsey being part of that Wales qualification.
I don't think they'll win it, but that's 2-4 less high pressure games than their usual season if they get knocked out. City will likely win, but I'd fancy Arsenal over Man United so they are closest challenger in my book.

Must win game for McClaren, his baffling comments midweek just riled the supporters even more, so it's a no brainer, he needs 3pts. I'd take a horrible 1-0 win right now.

I don't even care that it's offside, three unarmed unmarked players in the box.
I said all summer we need to improve the defence and this is exactly why. They're all pony

Somehow need to get to January in with a shout and buy properly. Mental, just mental we didn't properly strengthen in the summer at the back. We were bad in the championship.
Least Mbokani has been skirtalright and Redmond is still being far too good for us

Whenever your team is on a bad run, look us up on the schedule. We'll always get you back on a good run. Typical typical Norwich

Think it's a bit early to be making any judgements like that, the season is only 9 games old.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
I think you can make that judgement 'right now' & the performances are backing that up. Don't get me wrong, Memphis has more potential than Wijnaldum, but at the minute, Wijnaldum is delivering consistently. Wijnaldum is nearly 25 & a more complete package, whereas Memphis is essentially in the 'early' Ronaldo stages, or what United hope he is. Newcastle signed a player to deliver immediately, United have signed a player for the future.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
First time in ages West Ham v Chelsea has been a Saturday 3pm kick off. Chelsea are actually at evens to win, as big a price as I can remember. With expectations being that we could actually beat them, I fully expect this to be a miserable display and defeat.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
I just looked up at the tv from my laptop and saw West Ham are 1-0 up. Yeah, I thought so....
Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
West Ham doing what they've done in their away wins, letting Chelsea have the ball and hitting on the break. I can't see trigger happy Roman keeping Jose in a job for too long if they keep losing.
