CUP HOMEPAGE

LEAGUE HOMEPAGE

TEAM SELECTION
Team selection and tactics are due in by the close of Monday before the game. Failure to submit will result in forfeiting the game.

You will select a starting XI only, no subs.

You should provide tactics, but they should be no longer than 10 lines (bullet points)

Your team must contain 3 British players.

Your team must have 3 U21s.

A player qualifies as U21 if he is born on or after 1st July 1990

The U21s and British quota can be the same players.

--------------------Howard
------------Boyata------------Skrtel
---Torres---------------------------------Jansen
---------------Rodwell----Cattermole
--------------------Ljajic
--------Jovetic-------------------Rodallega
--------------------Crouch

U21 - Boyata, Ljajic, Rodwell
British - Boyata, Rodwell, Cattermole, Crouch

TACTICS
General: Skrtel guides Boyata though the game today with his experience. Ljajic our playmaker. Overall, try to keep possession and have a slow, steady build up. Occasionally mix it up with quick, surprise counter attacks.

Specific
Torres and Jansen should attack down the wings, as Rodallega and Jovetic will both cut inside often. DMs should cover.

Rodwell and Cattermole should both play aggressive and try to consistently win possession. Rodwell should man mark the AM.

Bent or Klose will be upfront, who are goalscorers, but contribute little else. They should be tracked by Skrtel.

Re: Furious League Tactic Submission
by Fan Gilhaus Today at 1:00 pm - have to change, McCarthy NOT U-21

.-----------McCarthy---------
Gunter-Bonucci-Agger-Aanholt
----------Isla----Vidal-------
Kalou-------------------Capel
-----------E.Torres----------
-----------Wickham----------

goal keeper stays online nothing stupid, release wingers early
defence stay tight, Agger pick up striker, Gunter, V.Aanholt watch wingers, attack one at a time and support wingers
Isla & Vidal sit and stop midfield coming through, break down play, one stays one goes when attacking making late runs into box
Torres, supports Wickham sending Wickham through
Capel and kalou support Wickham as much as poss, take on the fbs and get crosswes in Wickham is there to win them
Wickham powerful and will go one on one with CH, set up play with knockdowns for midfield/wingers, shoot on sight.

----------------------- B.Foster ---------------------
Bosingwa --- P.Jagielka ---------- S.Kjaer ---- D.Santon
---------------------- J.Vertonghen -------------------
-------------- A.Ramsey ------ R.Meireles ----------
D.Costa ----------------------------------- C.N’Zogbia
---------------------- H.Rodallega --------------------

U21s: Douglas Costa, D.Santon, Aaron Ramsey
British: Ben Foster, P.Jagielka, Aaron Ramsey

Tactics:
Jagielka will command the backline & man mark the main striker. Kjaer will deal with other danger and cover the backline with his pace. Fullback’s main concern is to defend but they will take turns to go forward and support the attacks.
Vertonghen will sit in front of the defenders breaking up the Fulham attacks, he will not go forward. Ramsey & Meireles are both box to box, they can attack and defend whilst both being creative and good passers of the ball. They will look to keep possession and link up with or release the wingers or striker. The Wingers will get up and support Rodallega. They will get crosses in or cut in to take shots on, get the ball down and run at fullbacks beating them with pace and skill to open up space in attack. Rodallega is a fast powerful forward; he will use strength to hold the ball up for his team mates. He will have a lot of movement sometimes coming deep to pick up the ball sometimes playing on the shoulder of the last defender looking to run in behind. He can score from inside and outside the box.

----------------Schwarzer------------------
Montoya - Boyata - Marchena-Flannagan
-------------------Rodwell-----------------
-------------Flamini-Delph-----------------
-----Donovan (c)-----------Reyes---------
-------------------Defoe-------------------

U21's: Montoya, Boyata, Flannagan, Rodwell, Delph
British: Boyata, Flannagan, Rodwell, Delph,Defoe

Schwarzer to try and release Donovan and Reyes from quick throws whenever possible.
Centre backs to busy their forwards along with Rodwell who will look to clean up after any mistakes.
Flannagan and Montoya to burst forward and support our attacking style of play.
Flamini and Delph will look to command the centre of the pitch. Delph will be allowed to bomb forward whereas Flamini will try and aid Rodwell. Flamini will be essential to releasing Delph, Defoe and the wingers.
Donovan/Reyes will look for the overlapping fullbacks allowing them to drift inside. If no overlap is available they will look to whip in crosses for Defoe and the arriving Delph to run on to. They will also use their pace to get onto long throws from Schwarzer.
Defoe is the out and out striker. As he has been dropped in favour of Klose from the 'normal' league lineup he is determined to show his team that he is still a great striker. He will use his pace to terrorize the oppositions centre backs.
