A last minute substitution from SirBenson paid dividends as Matthew Fitzpatrick's 7th place finish was enough to make the difference at the WGC-HSBC Champions.  His three other scoring picks meant he held off a hard running Davie who had five of his picks score points.  Despite having five picks score points Davie wasn't the highest scoring Fantasy Leaguer through placings.  That honour went to AlciG and I'm Never Wrong, of course they were helped by having the winner in Russell Knox as one of their picks.  Kouchi also picked the winner and that was his only scoring pick.  

1GrumpyGolfer, Kwinigolfer, and McLaren all had four scoring picks.  I'm Never Wrong also had four scoring picks but one of his was for finishing last.  LadyPutt, MustPuttBetter, Pedro, RayCastleunited, SetupDetermines, and Super_Realist all had three picks score points.  AlciG had three picks score points overall.  BlueCoverman, EmmDee57, Eyetoldyouso, Hibbz, and Owen10ozzy all had two picks score points.  Beninho, Sand, and TheCleaver matched Kouchi in having one pick score points but it wasn't quite in the same league as Kouchi's.

Danny Willett shot 62 for the low round and that earned additional points for Davie, LadyPutt, and Pedro.  I'm Never Wrong benefitted from Chris Kirk's second 79 of the week.  It was the worst round of the day and Kirk also joined Marc Warren in last place.

The second leg of the European Tour Race to Dubai Finals Series is the final WGC event of 2015.  The WGC-HSBC Champions sees a lot of the big names from the PGA Tour knock out those who were in the running for the European Tour Race to Dubai.  Jordan Spieth is the headliner this time as world number one, Jason Day, takes a rest.  Typically the top fifty in the world show up for a WGC but not this time.  Only 36 of the top fifty are teeing it up and that will allow some of those on the cusp a chance to perhaps cement a spot inside the top fifty for year end.

Phil Mickelson won the inaugural event but he's not playing, Francesco Molinari won the next one but he's not in the field either.  Martin Kaymer, Ian Poulter, and Dustin Johnson have all won the event and are playing.  So too is defending champion Bubba Watson.

Due to the limited field size the number of picks is scaled back to two from each category plus reserve.  This is also a no cut event so the usual cut bonuses are not in effect.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 6 players as follows:

Pick 2 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

I am not a top gear fan, it is watchable if they keep Hammond to a minimum. Clarkson is ok on stuff like QI or HIGNY but I am in no way a fan of his views on politics, society etc.

I am sure if the incident you mention had come up on here I would have been unlikely to condone the language used.

Yeah, you would have responded in an indignant, over the top, holier than thou , gaurdian reader, Jeremy Corbin loving fashion.

Quick unofficial update. Russell Knox's 65 is the low round of the day and that moves AlciG into a tie for the lead and sees I'm Never Wrong and Kouchi get off of the mark. Nothing else happened that affected the Fantasy League.

There were some low scores to be had but they weren't that plentiful as only sixteen players broke 70. Russell Knox was the pick of that bunch with a fine 65. It was the lowest of the day by one and that allowed AlciG to move into a tie for the lead and I'm Never Wrong and Kouchi to get off of the mark. At the other end of the leaderboard Andrew Dodt's round of 80 meant he just pipped I'm Never Wrong's Chris Kirk to the worst round of the day.

With Russell Knox left to finish his third round due to darkness I think it safe to assume that not a lot will change unless he forgets how to hold a golf club on his final hole.  

SirBenson made a charge as three of his picks shot 66 or lower to make the top ten low round scores.  One of them, Jordan Spieth, shot 63 for the low round of the day.  1GrumpyGolfer, Davie, EmmDee57, LadyPutt, McLaren, Owen10ozzy, and Pedro each had two of their picks score points.  They all had Spieth among their picks except for Owen and Pedro.  BlueCoverman, Hibbz, I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, Raycastleunited, Sand, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver all had one pick score points.  In the case of BlueCoverman, Raycastleunited, SUper_Realist, and TheCleaver it just so happened to be Spieth.  

Marc Warren had an 81 which was the worst round of the day and also means he is propping up the leaderboard after three rounds.

A last minute substitution from SirBenson paid dividends as Matthew Fitzpatrick's 7th place finish was enough to make the difference at the WGC-HSBC Champions. His three other scoring picks meant he held off a hard running Davie who had five of his picks score points. Despite having five picks score points Davie wasn't the highest scoring Fantasy Leaguer through placings. That honour went to AlciG and I'm Never Wrong, of course they were helped by having the winner in Russell Knox as one of their picks. Kouchi also picked the winner and that was his only scoring pick.

1GrumpyGolfer, Kwinigolfer, and McLaren all had four scoring picks. I'm Never Wrong also had four scoring picks but one of his was for finishing last. LadyPutt, MustPuttBetter, Pedro, RayCastleunited, SetupDetermines, and Super_Realist all had three picks score points. AlciG had three picks score points overall. BlueCoverman, EmmDee57, Eyetoldyouso, Hibbz, and Owen10ozzy all had two picks score points. Beninho, Sand, and TheCleaver matched Kouchi in having one pick score points but it wasn't quite in the same league as Kouchi's.

Danny Willett shot 62 for the low round and that earned additional points for Davie, LadyPutt, and Pedro. I'm Never Wrong benefitted from Chris Kirk's second 79 of the week. It was the worst round of the day and Kirk also joined Marc Warren in last place.
