Struggling to get a decent replacement for Adebayor.
As he is injured this week, I will keep trying next week.

Re: Stoke Furious League
Player beginning with C is too much of a step down I think. Adebayor looks like going to Real now.
The players who I could offer £30m for, my problem is getting the players to want to join. They all already play for clubs in Europa or CL, which means they don't want to come to Sunderland.
I will keep scouring the markets next week, but just saying it don't look promising

And I agree with Smarts PM suggestion.
What about Arteta or Pienaar. Both can play all across the midfield

Re: Stoke Furious League
I may have Emmanuel Riviere (google him - the new Henry!!!) if I can complete my loan from Nick.
Problem might be that I don't think you are allowed one game loans (I think it's minimum of 3 games).
If my loan with Nick goes through, I can offer you a 3 game loan for no pounds as I am kind and it would be good for him to get game time!

I was thinking about your winger/am player you were looking for, I know it's only a short term solution but would you want to loan Ricardo Alvarez (the dude who just joined Inter) for a fee?

Think the injury to Forlan more or less kills any deal for Adebayor.
I can't get anyone better than Ade, and with Forlan injured, I cannot afford to sell him.

I was considering downgrading to Cardozo and banking the extra cash.
Wouldn't have been so bad with Forlan as well, but just Cardozo up front looks a bit weak.

onto the hamsik offer, i need to be sure of my current budget before i can accept or reject offers, but i dont think i would accept a straight cash offer for him regardless

I might consider N'Zogbia in a deal for A.Young, IMO N'Zogbia > A.Young don't get it twisted but because A.Young has moved to Man Utd I have a bit of an attraction to him.

Re: Stoke Furious League
Hands down I believe N'Zogbia is better than Young. If he joined a top 4 club he would habe more of an impact than Ashley who IMO only have a few strings to his bow - He can run fast down the wing cut infield then blast it. Or he can take a good set piece. Yes he is a good player but IMO N'Zogbia is better.

Re: Stoke Furious League
average midfield. - are you smokin crack!?
Lennon -- Cambiasso -- Modric -- Bale
that is not average.
you have:
Farfan: not the best, not the worst, Watching him last season in the CL he failed to do anything in 180 minutes agains Man United.
Palombo: less said the better
Montolivo: hes good.
Young: came good end of last season, hope he can become better.
Augusto: dont see him being linked with any top clubs, was supposed to be a huge talent but not so.

Re: Stoke Furious League
Can I compare the two midfields.
Lennon vs Farfan - seen more of Lennon. Farfan had a bad season, but then Lennon didn't set the world alight either. Level
Cambiasso vs Palombo - Cambaisso for me, but based on his old reputation. On just last year, they are level and if Cambiasso continues the downward spiral this year, then Palombo could be a better player this time next year (although he does need to leave Sampdoria)
Modric vs Montolivo - very, very close. If forced, Modric, just.
Bale v Young - again level. Both decent, but Bale has to prove he is not just a half a season wonder. Young has performed for a few years now.
Augusto v VDV - VDV for me. Augusto is a good prospect, but he needs to kick on and win his place back in the Brazil squad. VDV is proven in a number of leagues.
