Another major company in the north east announces hundreds of jobs to go. Terrible time for the area. Steel, potash, offshore workers, hmrc, what's next? Hoping we turn the corner soon.

Terrible the NE already has the highest rate of unemployment in the Country.......Families are going to be struggling. Jobs are few and far between there as it is..

The wages are falling there too.... faster than any part of the Country which is par for the course when there is great competition for so few spaces. Good people will take less to work because many don't feel adequate unless they have a job...

Self esteem goes because they don't feel like they are providing for their families....Saw it with my Dad when he was out of work for a few weeks when I was a teenager !!..

Ideal world there should be work for weveryone that wants it and that work should be adequately rewarded...

Unfortunately we are miles away from that place....

Easy to forget how lucky some of us are at times..

Tories couldn't give a toss about NE England though.

It's not London.

I'm one of those potentially losing my job so it's a bit stressful at the mo. But as we've seen in recent days there are worse things to have happen to you so I'm trying to keep me chin up at the moment and be greatful of what I have. Something will work out I'm sure, even if I do lose my job.

My old man had a great saying.....

"If you can't do anything about a problem.....What's the point in worrying about it!!"

Always tried to follow that advice..
