Re: The Culture Cup Round x - Adam is a naughty naughty boy
An interesting insight into the minds of soap watchers. I saw that an Emmerdale actress had died and passed the news on to my emmerdale obsessed colleague. Her reaction: "Oh, my god, oh my god, oh my god - How are they going to write that into the script".
Re: The Culture Cup Round x - Adam is a naughty naughty boy
Soapwatchers are the ones who will spend hours blathering on about their made up fantasy storylines and yet will roll their eyes when the subject of football comes up and say "It's only a game"
Maybe, but at least it really happened!

I would find soaps a lot more believable if they watched other soaps/tv and included it in the storylines. How can it be real life if the farmer, the northern monkey, the cockney wide boy don't watch tv? F'cking weirdoes if they don't.

I believe if they did that, it would rip a hole in the fabric of time, a bit like if you try to google "google". It creates an infinite loop that will destroy all existence.
Be funny though, especially if they looked directly in to the camera.
Dot Cotton "Jim - turn on Corrie"
Jim "not that pile of sh1t - its so unrealistic"

You should get yourself to the food market on Saturdays - it's one of nature's greatest spectacles, the gathering of Sloane Square d1ckwads and snot-arsed fannies as they start on their feeding and mating frenzy.

Tempus adest floridum, surgent namque flores
Vernales in omnibus, imitantur mores
Hoc quod frigus laeserat, reparant calores
Cernimus hoc fieri, per multos labores.
Sunt prata plena floribus, iucunda aspectu
Ubi iuvat cernere, herbas cum delectu
Gramina et plantae hyeme quiesc unt
Vernali in tempore virent et accresc unt.

Terra ornatur floribus et multo decore
Nos honestis moribus et vero amore
Gaudeamus igitur tempore iucundo

Genesis 2:18
The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
Genesis 2:22
Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
Leviticus 20:13
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.
Not saying I agree but people are quick to show tolerance of other faiths. Not sure why Fury's interpretation of the above is so controversial.

Re: The Culture Cup Round x - Adam is a naughty naughty boy
But also sean
a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
g) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?
i) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

Supermarket update.
Stopped at M&S on the way home last night. 2 beef and red wine stuffed Yorkshires for £4.25. Only 426 calories and low in saturated fat. I can recommend them quite highly.

Nope. Any pgm trader worth a w*nk has been running short for months. I don't need prices to rally, I just need them to move. Up or down. Makes no difference to me.

The M&S used to do tremendous Choux Buns...haven't had them from their for ages so have no idea if they're still up to scratch. Certainly can't be bothered trailing all the way across town just to find out. Sean, get on the case and report back asap
Also, Fury is a twonk of the highest order, the only reason I haven't signed up for him to be shot into space is because he was on the Jeremy Vine show the other day and, by default, was only the second most annoying c*nt in the room. When he usurps Vine in the c*nt stakes, I'll build the bloody rocket myself (I'm kidding, it will never happen)
Also, must compliment Rick on his tremendous examples of biblical (in)tolerance (although I simply saw them as other perfectly good reasons to want to kill people)

Are Choux buns like Choux pastry that you see on bake off. I always assumed it was 'shoe' pastry because they look shoes... (that galted would probably wear)
