Oscar is feeling Pist !!!

Our South African friend has been found guilty of murder on appeal.....and it seems hasn't got a leg to stand on..

In fairness I have some sympathy......Whenever my Wife has flushed the toilet in the middle of the night I've often thought about taking drastic action !!

Justice is served me thinks..

He's still only going to serve another 1-2 years in prison.

Minimum term for murder is 15 years. Can switch to house arrest after 1/6 of your sentence, 2.5 years, however current legislation doesn't allow this for murder charges.

Based on mitigating circumstances that he's a double amputee, high profile case etc. They expect he'll get 10-12 years because of this. He's already served a year of his sentence, which will be taken into account. I'm sure they will also argue that the charge not being correct is the fault of the state and as such he should still qualify for the 1/6 of a sentence rule.

Been out of the loop on this. Didn't realize it had even started. Thought he'd be found guilty though. Judge Mapisa had a remarkable interpretation of Latin, and it was unlikely that he could hit the lotto twice in that regard

Personally I'd have given him 20 years..19 for murder and 1 because it's rude to disturb someone while they are having a crap !!

Regardless of how long Oscar Pistorius gets, when he's released, Reeva Steenkamp will still be dead.

Too much focus on "Poor Oscar" in my opinion, and the shortcomings of others involved in this case and not enough on the consequences of his (Pistorius') actions.  I always thought his defence was, frankly, ridiculous.  

Whenever I wake up in the middle of the night and the other half of the bed is empty, my first thought when I hear the toilet flush isn't that my house is being burgled and I should put four high calibre bullets through the door while the 'burglar' has his trousers down.   No, I just pull as much of the duvet as I can back over on to my side before the Me'm Sahib comes back and hope I'll be able to hang on to it for as long as possible before she pulls it all back again.

Must admit it tames a confident burglar to flush a toilet....

Oscar reminds me that honesty is the best policy..."If I ever find out you've cheated on my daughter I'll kill you"!!..We can all have the odd lapse though..

I reckon If he'd just said.."Me Lady I was gasping for a crap and she was taking her time in there and you know what that's like don't you love !!"....I'm sure he would have got sympathy and be finishing his term as we speak..
