Tonights Action
Evening guys, who's tuning in to tonights action then?
Starting us off is Boxnation which is showing Enzo vs Roy Jones JR that card has already started.
Anybody see any upsets happening?

Re: Tonights Action
I've got a feeling that Mitchell and Bellew are going to find it a lot tougher than most are expecting, can see at least one of them losing.

I think Mitchell will find it tough. I like him, good bruiser with skills and mostly in all action fights

Re: Tonights Action
Bellew points
Mitchell stoppage
Campbell stoppage
Eubank points
Joshua points
Malignaggi points.
All foregone conclusions to me unfortunately, of I'm off on these then retirements should happen.

What a cretinous thing to say but to be expected of you really but then again you said the same of Quigg not stopping a fighter you'd never seen in Otake.

Was sitting here thinking.... "Campbell could lose here"
And then he got dropped by a cracking left hook.
In deep here.
Decent fight.

I've got it 69-65 to Mendy going into 8...
Campbell struggling to stop him coming forward and Mendy is landing a lot.

Gave that round to Mendy as well....
Needs a stoppage for me but you never know with some of the interesting scores we get over here at the minute....

Mendy by SD.
115-113 twice.
The British judge had it 115-113 for Campbell.

Mendy was a step too far for Campbell this early in his career.

Re: Tonights Action
I don't think Campbell has developed enough as a pro to facing someone as tough as Mendy (obviously should be getting stopped easily), he didn't seem to have the confidence to sit down on his punches and the pitter patter punches aren't enough at this level.

Hit clean as a whistle by a great left hook (which he moved onto all night by the way)

Re: Tonights Action
Campbell was much quicker could have boxed his way to a win, needed a few more fights before getting in the ring with someone like Mendy.
They must have chose Mendy for his style which suited Campbell's style but he was unable to implement it properly.

Re: Tonights Action
Wouldn't stay stopped easily hammer but should be getting comprehensively beaten. The bookies, the public and his own promoter and friends know he should be winning those fights at this stage and looking good doing so. Each to their own though hey mate.
But yes rob you do wonder what they talk about.
I watched this guys last fight, wasn't overly impressed, his opponent was utter pants and didn't look like he had a clue but still managed to land. He looks solidly built I'm expecting Bellew to win good here.
Could be wrong again though

British anthem (two verses!)*
Roy Jones is a Russian citizen, apparently, and the Russians seem to see it as a Cold-war esque political victory. Bizarre.

Christ, Bellew is such a plodder of a fighter.
I don't think he'll ever get a world belt, even in a very average CW division.

Re: Tonights Action
I’ve Bellew three rounds behind. He’s so out of shape it’s unreal. How have you all scored it so far?
Bellew’s move up in weight had nothing to do with out growing the weight, he was just fed up with the training. He’s seriously out of shape.
