WWE Raw but mainly The Slammy's Results - Not even going to Spoiler this it's gash deal with it Empty WWE Raw but mainly The Slammy's Results - Not even going to Spoiler this it's gash deal with it

Post by Fernando Tue 22 Dec 2015, 9:17 am

The 2015 WWE Slammy Awards pre-show opens with Renee Young, Eden, Booker T and Corey Graves in Minneapolis. The first Slammy Award they reveal is Rivalry of the Year and after a video package, it's revealed to be Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker. We go backstage to Eden and Heyman to accept the award. Heyman doesn't like her introduction so he introduces himself and accepts the award on behalf of Taker and The Beast, the winner of the rivalry. Heyman walks off and Eden sends us back to the panel.

- After discussion from the panel, the next Slammy Award they give away is for the best WWE Network Original. Steve Austin's podcast wins and Graves accepts on Austin's behalf, saying it gives him an excuse to visit Austin's ranch and have a beer. Graves talks about his Culture Shock show, the RAW Pre-show and Renee's Unfiltered show not being nominated. We come back to reveal the Slammy Award for Double Cross of the Year. Damien Sandow wins for turning on The Miz. We go back to Eden and The Miz, who is taking credit. Sandow walks up and interrupts. He says he was in the top 10 for votes and says that's good considering how much TV time he's had lately. He ends it by thanking everyone for voting for him and says stay tuned for what he will do next.

- The next Slammy is Extreme Moment of the Year and Roman Reigns wins for spearing Bray Wyatt. Booker accepts for Reigns as Reigns is getting ready to open RAW. That's it for the pre-show.

- Tonight's WWE RAW opens up with a look back at last week's show with Roman Reigns, Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon.

- We're live from the Target Center in Minneapolis as a voice welcomes us to the 2015 Slammy Awards. Stephanie McMahon makes her way out to the ring as Lilian Garcia does the introduction. Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW and he's joined by JBL and Byron Saxton.

Stephanie is all smiles as she welcomes us to RAW and the Slammy Awards. Stephanie says she knows everyone is wondering how she could be so joyous after her husband Triple H and her 70 year old father Vince McMahon were attacked by Roman Reigns last week. She says unlike the fans, the McMahons do not wallow in self pity, they rise to the occasion. She says tonight is a night of celebration, a night of... the music hits and out comes WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns through the crowd to a big pop.

Reigns is also in a good mood. He says we're celebrating the Slammys and a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He says this feels like a setup, like the League of Nations could come attack him any minute. Or maybe she's trying to make him sweat like her daddy did last week. Reigns says he doesn't sweat her, her daddy or her husband. Reigns says he hasn't seen her husband since he laid him out at TLC. Reigns tells Stephanie to relay a message to Triple H - he's here and not hard to find. Stephanie tells Reigns to get out of the ring. Stephanie starts screaming at Reigns to get out but he's not going. Stephanie gets in his face and he asks the fans if they want to see Stephanie get really mad. Reigns says watch this... he turns his back on her. It works and Stephanie yells at him to get back in the ring as he leaves with his back turned to her. Reigns leaves through the crowd and she tells him to run like the coward he is. She announces The Usos vs. The New Day in a handicap match so Reigns can see what it's like to have your family beat down. She also announces Sheamus vs. Dean Ambrose in a steel cage match. Stephanie says there will be hell to pay tonight on RAW because of Reigns. She leaves the ring as fans boo.

- The announcers send us to Dolph Ziggler on the stage. He comes out in a tuxedo to present the Slammy for Breakout Star of the Year. The nominees are Kevin Owens, Neville, Charlotte, Tyler Breeze, Braun Strowman. Voting is now open on the WWE App. We go to commercial.

- Back from the break and Neville wins the Breakout Star of the Year Slammy. He's surprised and did not expect to win this. He thanks the fans and is interrupted by the music of Kevin Owens. Owens says this is crap and he should have won. Owens tells Neville to take a walk and get out of here. Neville says "whatever Kevin" but leaves. Owens says he's seen a lot of ridiculous things happen in WWE but this takes the cake. He's the breakout star who beat John Cena on his first night. Owens has words with Ziggler for laughing. Owens says Ziggler might win a Has-Been of the Year award. Ziggler attacks him and they start brawling on the stage. Referees finally break them up but they're riled up.

I'm guessing it reads better than it watches, but for a Slammy Raw it doesn't sound bad.

I like that Lesnar was played a bit tweener by Heyman's promos. I don't like the New Day losing when they had the advantage in numbers.

I imagine most (if not all) the polls were fixed,so couldn't they either fix it so that the winners would be present,or try to get the winners to appear or at least have a pretty recorded part...seems really low budget if you ask me,I could do a home made version and accept awards on people's behalf, the point of these awards is that people get a chance to see everyone and celebrate their achievements.

It would be like doing the hall of fame ceremony but just with photos and nobody ever makes a speech.

I think nothing sums up WWEs year better than that over 50% of the prize winners were either not there or injured

Taker and Sting maybe, but in Lesnars home market I think he should have been there, even just to announce something for the Rumble, or he could have beaten up Bo Dallas again. Out of those three Brock definitely should have been there.

Absolutely disagree. Lesnar doesn't care for tinpot awards, shouldn't be used for cheap appearances and shouldn't waste big news on an episode like the Slammys. Nor do I think he should be advertised for the Rumble if he's entering the match. The Rumble is not sold on a Lesnar entry.

I'd rather he was used for TV than for underwhelmingly attended house shows.
He should have been there in some capacity on his home turf.

Although if they see the Slammy's as a kind of 'week off' from stories and feud building then I can see why they've not had any notable people or memorable moments.

I'd prefer they looked at characters and how they would act. Nothing in kayfabe suggests he'd be there. That's before going out of kayfabe and considering his limited Raw appearances.

They easily could have came up with something. Like I've already said he could have beaten up Bo Dallas again, all you need to do is have Bo rag on the city for a bit before Brock comes to defend it. Doesnt need to be a huge deal but it would be nice for his home market.

Agree with Brilliant 100%, it would have been more beneficial to use him on RAW than a random house show.

The beauty of kayfabe is that if there isn't a reason for him to be there, you can create one.
Have him come out and cause havoc somewhere, have him destroy the slammy set to show he doesn't care for these mock awards as he's the only one deserving of any recognition.

The crowd would have wanted him there, and TV viewers would always want him there,it would have been the perfect chance to build on the good they'd started last week and the upturn in viewers.

No lesnar appearance is ever a waste if its done properly, and there was potential there.

I've not seen anything posted yet that's a good idea though. Destroy the set cos he's the only one worthy of awards? Not Lesnar type of heel, all petty and whiny.

If he's gonna be used for the rumble then it needs to be nearer the time. If he isn't then it's an appearance wasted. The house show appearances are not the same, and was part of a completely different thing for WWE. Backfired, but that's hindsight and I doubt anyone here was predicting Lesnar wouldn't boost that show's appeal.

With it being so, it's better character understanding to not have him there.

If there had been care for or by his home market it would have come with advertisement. Lesnar was not gonna bump figures with a surprise Slammys appearance. In a generally slow slot, with the gap to Rumble, the smart decision is definitely to wait. Do any of you really care about him throwing Bo around? Whilst I get your point, I'd actually applaud WWE for not throwing out a cheap Lesnar appearance in a situation completely unsuited to him. It'll be even wiser if they are going to push him being a heel when he returns for his next program.

Definitely lesnar should be used as brilliant suggests as although some don't like him (me included) he draws a crowd...however that house show was a total waste of an appearance - WWE should not struggle to sell tickets that way, especially with him on the card. Play to the strengths and as the viewership is on the rise, strike while the iron is hot as brilliant said, just my 2C

From a business prespective what good would Lesnar have been to the show last night? It would still have bqqeen a rotten show and all it would achieve is having them waste a Lesnar appearance, I think the awards are legit so the WWE are tied to who the fans vote for, its unfortunate so many are injured but I really don't see any value in Undertaker or Brock appearing...Sting i'd agree should have appeared, he's not a special attraction IMO and if he didn't win an award he could always have been used on the show but again I go back to the original question, would it have made the show any better? I don't think it would have.

It doesnt need to make business sense, doesnt need to advance anything or create new kayfabe. Its about giving the crowd something to make them feel like they got their moneys worth apart from cluster of mediocrity they were given.

Doesnt help that they teased it with Heyman using his music. Theres trying to establish them as heels going forward and theres Wee weeing off a whole crowd of fans who arent likely to go back.

Sorry, I disagree completely, if you've got Brock Leanar for a limited amount of dates you don't just blow one of them for the hell of it on a dud show, I highly doubt fans who have sat through their crap for as long as they have will suddenly feel Heyman using Lesnar's music will be the final straw.

The Slammys RAW is crap, its wind down week, bringing out your best asset with no real reason to wont suddenly make it anything other than crap

The January 4th show is always the one where you use your assets and I'd expect to see the big guns wheeled out then especially mention of what Lesnar has planned Rumble wise.
I'd like to see him be cocksure enough to request the number 1 slot because he wants to beat Reigns's record before going on to face him at Mania.

So a random house show is a better use of an appearance than a live RAW in his home town? Sound.

If he wasnt then thats far enough, but you have to think WWE should have known well in advance they'd be in Minneapolis and would have booked him. Its not like its far from where he lives now.

We'll need to agree to disagree on this one.

Yup, i think we'll have too, these end of Year RAW's are historically dead shows so I'd imagine with that in mind booking Lesnar for it wouldnhave been furthest thing from their minds, especially a well in advanced booking.

It wasn't a house show or Raw, nor was that house show one of his "appearances" in terms of Raws.
