NWQ Dirksen is WQ now, and Hassler at the Os is better anyhowVinceWLB wrote:NWQ:

Re: NWQ v NIQ
Forgot about Hassler! Very strong runner and a more complete player than Dirksen.

Re: NWQ v NIQ
Really? Thought they got capped by USA and Scotland A.
Van der Merwe to 2nd row and Sagario the Munster prop to LH then.

Re: NWQ v NIQ
Black also qualifies to play for the USA, and Muldowney qualifies to play for any of England, Scotland and Ireland. Nothing on Wiki about Muldowney being capped for Scotland, but Black has played for Ireland under 18/19/21.

Re: NWQ v NIQ
Someone should do a team of players qualified on residency, per country.

You'd really have Triggs and Muldowney ahead of Franco van der Merwe ahead of Mark Chisholm? can see you changed out Muldowney when you realised he is IQ, but Triggs ahead of Chisholm?
Te'o ahead of Saili?
anyway I've prob made same mistakes with the NWQ one.
But the NIQ team does appear to be of a much higher quality.
Connacht have a good number of players in now where in years past they only had one or two

Re: NWQ v NIQ
Interestingly that the 2010 NWQ team is a lot stronger than anything we can put out now, but how weak is that 2012 team???

Did you watch Chisholm at the weekend, he was terrible against Leicester. Triggs is the kind of unspectacular player who does the basics very well and adds a lot of grunt, every team needs one of those.
Same for Saili, must say he has been a disappointment and Te'o has been very impressive any time he played with Leinster, adding some much needed go forward. Although i reckon we haven't seen the best of Saili yet.
I think this is very close on paper and the result would depend on how well each team is coached.

Sailli looked skilful, but overweight and unfit to me.

Pretty hot team, though probably not as strong as the NFQ from the Top 14... We don't have a hooker either so I've agreed with shifting Arhip there.

Re: NWQ v NIQ
NFQ hmmm....
1. Nariashvili (Montpellier)
2. Bismarck Du Plessis (Montpellier)
3. Kepu (Bordeaux)
4. Charteris (Racing)
5. Manoa (Toulon)
6. Alberts (Stade)
7. Armitage (Toulon)
8. Vermuelen (Toulon)
9. Genoa (Stade)
10. Carter (Racing)
11. Habana (Toulon)
12. Nonu (Toulon)
13. Smith (Pau)
14. Strettle (Clermont)
15. Abendanon (Clermont)
Tried to get as many different clubs involved, but the current back rows and centres they all have is incredible. I wonder if we'll see it have a knock on effect on the French team.

Re: NWQ v NIQ
Muldowny did get a late call up to Scotland A back when he was at Glasgow. Think he trained, got all the kit, either didn't make the game day squad or was not used.
Either way he is still IQ
