CJ Stander gouging - 15 week ban for Stade winger

Raisuqe, the Stade winger who gouged CJ Stander last weeekend, has got a 15 week ban. Seems he initially got 18 weeks, had 3 more weeks added as a deterrent and then got 6 weeks lopped off because he was contrite and humble and he's young!!!!. FFS Think he's got off lightly, that was as bad a gouge I've seen in ages. Don't think a bad for rest of the season would have been out of order

Eye gouging should just be an automatic minimum year ban. Should not be playing til January 2017.

It was very poor and the ban is deserved.

Raisuqe was maintaining the Stade tradition of DuPuy and Attoub, and should have got a similar ban.

This whole contrition and good behaviour bull Poopie has gone too far recently, especially in severe cases like this.

Horrible incident.

Nice to see that Sir Nige called it right and the time and threw that idiot off the field.

Can end a career that. Should be 6 month ban at an absolutely minimum.

Obviously just another case of Nige hating on the French teams, it should have been a red card for the Irish player head butting the frenchmans finger...

Nige clearly doesn't hate the French teams after ignoring a blatant high tackle in the Toulon v Wasps game ...   although I guess you could say Toulon aren't very French and it was an AB that got away with it

You talking about me? the fact that Owens amongst other British refs lacks empathy towards French teams and players is quite well documented anyway I did mention some of the most apparent sneaky and dodgy decisions on time to time but others do start actual threads dedicated to him (like others did have similar obsessions towards Barnes or Rolland , bless them... the refs obviously ). I wish I could keep track of all Owens "decisions" but I can't as I have a day job
