Aston Villa 2-0 Norwich - Agbonlahor. I fear for Norwich

Tottenham sneaking into second position. Interestingly, they have the best goal difference in the league.

Who would have thought at the start of the season that come February the top two in the Premier League would be Leicester then Spurs?

Liverpool can never just have a comfortable win. 2-1 Adam Johnson. Sounds like another slight error from mignolet (got a full hand on it but still let it in)

Sad thing is I'm not even surprised. Defence can't handle any sort of pressure. Roll on the summer clear out most of the squad

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Newcastle 1-0 WBA (Should of been about 5-0) Huge win & out of the relegation zone. Fantastic result that Norwich lost to Villa & Sunderland/Swansea both drew.

Mignolet with another 2 points lost. Would love to know how many points he has cost us this season... Whole team should be ashamed though, 2-0 up at home against relegation contenders and draw 2-2, embarrassing stuff

We are down - I've been to some bad Norwich away games but none as bad as that - standing in the driving rain for 90 mins while we make Aston villa look like Barcelona and we look like my Sunday league side

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Klopp must have some serious faith in his own abilities if he thinks he's going to turn that lot into title contenders inside 3 years.
I do wonder if he regrets not hanging around a little longer, what with all these big jobs seemingly available in the summer.
To conclude: Same old.

I thought it was a nice gesture of Mignolet to leave the ground with the fans in the 77th minute.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Ill enjoy this rare win.
Great result if a little late.
Clean sheet to.
Interesting in our 3 wins we havent conceded.
Liverpool home next sunday, if we can beat them, and other results go our way, we will only be 5 points from safety.
Again big if.

The thing is, even if we do win next week, cant see 4 teams we need to slip up doing so.

I'm a UTD man, but I wouldn't mind Spurs winning the title. Sooner UTD won it of course but that doesn't seem likely this year.Duty281 wrote:Tottenham sneaking into second position. Interestingly, they have the best goal difference in the league.

Amazing to think you could be just five points off safety. Swansea have an inform Southampton, Sunderland face Man U, Newcastle have got Chelsea & Norwich face WHU, so could easily see those four losing.
As for WBA, we are in freefall. we've got Everton, Man U, Leicester & Arsenal in the next five games. Newcastle completely ruined us yesterday.

That's Pulis really. West Brom will be comfortable in the end, but they'll forever be stalling at this position

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
If the baggies do go down, then in the championship next season you could have.
Villa
WBA
Wolves
Blues
Walsall
Be interesting.
For me in an ideal world.
Would obviously love us to stay up, baggies stay up, then blues and wolves come up.
Cant see it happening, but would be great for the west midlands to have them back in the premiership.
Sadly cant see it though.

Westi - you could also have Coventry in the Championship next season. They're currently in the play off places in Div 1.
Good result for your boys yesterday although - just based on MotD - Norwich looked awful (sorry Olly!).

Poor Zouma I've been there before, it is extremely painful.
Lovely finish by Lingard, that loan at Brighton has done his career wonders.

Depay losing the ball and making a complete balls of a performance yet again.
Reserves for the rest of the season then sell him.

Man United definitely showing progress. Looked the better team. The conclusion is that Manchester United always look better when Carrick plays

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Showing progress? They sit fifth, they should be the better side, so don't see that point. Hardly something to shout about, drawing with a poor Chelsea side, that's drawn six of it's last eight games & in reality is struggling to even make it out of the bottom half of the league, even with Hiddink. Chelsea looked like they'd nick the win in injury time.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Did you watch the same game?
I've been my own club's biggest critic of late, okay maybe not on Ent's levels but there were certainly a lot more shoots of progress there than there have been for a while. In the last three games they've remembered that there's something called a goal that's required to win games rather than just keeping hold of the ball.

Indeed, I was going for standard of play, and United were the better side for the majority of the game.

I thought United played very well for 90 mins, but the match lasted 96 and you play till the end.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Well, we played well for 82 minutes then decided Xmas had come early and gifted Sunderland two goals. Wonder if Gordon Banks is available, he couldn't be worse than that f*cking idiot. Think this is now four games where we've conceded from the opposition's first shot on target and Sunderland only had two of the f*cking things.
Klopp had his appendix cut out, he should ask the surgeon if he removes cancerous tumours and send him to the Anfield dressing room.
