I think what we originally intended was for this to be 22 man squads with 18 keepers - but I was rather lax last season, so everyone was kept

I've got a few proposals for next season to keep this interesting, keen to get everyone's thoughts

1. Remove kickers from the league
2. Stick to 18 keepers from the rest of your players
3. Have a rookie draft, but open to changing the number of rounds of picks (currently 3)
4. Just an idea - give everyone an auction budget for a blind bid auction on any players not in the league after the rookie draft
5. Next year's number 1 pick goes to the winner of the consolation playoffs

Just think it may shake up the end of the rosters a bit, and keep a bit of interest after teams are eliminated from the playoffs

These are all just ideas at the moment, and happy to ignore them all if no one agrees! Let me know your thoughts, squads are currently due to unlock in a month's time, so plenty of time for arguments

I'll be having fun with the roster limits again since I have loads of IR players once more meaning i'm at 26 guys atm!

If you do have 18 carryovers, it probably is a good idea to do the auction thing just to avoid it becoming an exercise in who is immediately around to pick up players when you do the releasing... it's the offseason, so people will hardly be checking up on it.

Happy to stick with kickers if that's the preference

Thoughts on the rest of the proposals? Mainly the 18 keepers and blind bid auction as that will have the biggest impact during the off season

I'm going to set the league to be 19 keepers - 1 of which must be a kicker, as people generally want to keep kickers

I'm going to set the keeper deadline to be ahead of free agency - 1st of March would seem to be about right given free agency kicks off on the 14th

We'll hold the rookie draft (3 picks per team) after the NFL draft, and the blind bid auction for players not in the league will take place after that

Summary

Keeper deadline - reduce your squads to 19 players that you are keeping (1 must be a kicker) by 1 March ahead of free agency beginning 14 March
Rookie draft - following the NFL draft at the end of April
Blind bid auction - Date tbc, but after the rookie draft and before the season

I've set mine... was none to happy with the initial message of something like "Keeper Slots have been reduced by GM, automatic changes have been made to your selections" only to find that Aaron Rodgers was no longer a keeper but my second kicker was!

I've been really lax with this and forgot to enforce the keeper deadline of 1 March. I'm going to extend this to a week from now 23 March

Remember you can have up to 19 keepers, one of which must be your kicker

Keeper status as far as I can tell

19 keepers set - Bam, Mikey, twelve283, crazy_dave, Olly

16 keepers - Wadey, TM Moot

9 keepers - CJB

0 keepers - Pr4wn, Forward Pass

Please try and set keepers yourselves by next Friday, or I will be setting them for you based on the highest ranked players by ADP for dynasty

I will then clear all non keepers ahead of the NFL draft

Just cleared all non keepers

Mikey didn't have Fournette and Ajayi set as keepers, and as he hasn't got back to me, I've removed his two lowest ranked RB keepers (Adrian Peterson and Terrence West) to select them as keepers

Wadey had no kicker kept, so selected Matt Bryant for him

All non keepers have been released

After the NFL draft, we'll hold a 3 round rookie draft with the below draft order, then hold a blind bid auction draft for any non keepers that you want to bid on (including rookies)

Any other thoughts / ideas let me know!

When would people like to start the 3 round rookie draft?

Remember we have the free agent bidding after the rookie draft, then I'd like to open up rosters so everyone can make as many roster moves as they want ahead of the season

Erm... how were we going to do the rookie draft? Live, or via the forum? I now live (temporarily) in GMT+8 so I obviously prefer the latter since I will be fast asleep for evening drafts UK time.

My only other request, although I think we will do this anyway, is to make sure it's all done and dusted during May / June because I am travelling around all July and early August... I realise I'm getting quite demanding here!
