Great to wake up this morning and see my team came back from a 40 point deficit to beat crazy_dave's .. even better that it was two Packers that got me over the line ! Very Happy

We're coming up to the business end of the season, so just wanted to stick a reminder out there - the winner of the consolation playoffs will win the number 1 pick, rather than the person with the worst record

The rest of the draft order will be decided by record

Also, seeing as Olly has failed to keep on top of his team, he's getting the boot at the end of the season - would anyone have an issue with me setting his line up for the rest of the season? We'll need to find a new manager

I must have missed this new rule being announced, I'm not totally against it but it's going to hurt the owner of Olly's team (whether it's Olly or someone else). Whatever we all think of Olly tanking the season his team does have by far the worst roster, just look at the optimum points for each team.

It was announced at the beginning of the season, I just wasn't expecting Olly to go full spaz, the intention was to keep something to play for and not tank at the end of the season

Olly has the worst roster because he's a moron and keeps picking QBs

Happy to stick to the normal route, but I think it will take more than that to fix his roster

So its me against the two time champ for the title next week .. Now would be a really good time for the Rams and Chiefs to rest Gurley and Hill

LowlandBrit vs CJB for 3rd place, and Olly's ghost ship will have the first pick in case it wasn't already obvious.

We really need another manager for next year, think this league has been enjoyable but just need someone to take over for Olly and actually participate!

Thanks LB! Competitive season again, we need to find a replacement manager for Olly but hopefully everyone is enjoying the league and we can continue it next year

I'll have a think on how the offseason schedule should look, and we'll also need to give Olly's replacement a bit of help with the roster, so any ideas are welcome!

Olly's team doesn't need that much help... It has the potential to be great... assuming you can field 5 QBs in the staring line up, or at least Lamar Jackson at RB!

Having 3 FA WR's probably doesn't help either

I'm not sure how you resolve his roster in a fair way though

My initial thoughts were to do the same as we did last year, with every team picking its keepers and the rest being released - the new manager would then be able to fill his squad from all free agents

I was then thinking of giving an extra pick at the end of each round of the rookie draft to try and get some quality in there, but don't want to over do it either

I'm not sure the roster's actually that bad that it needs more than an active owner (there's a few teams I could see considering a trade for a QB too), but I wouldn't mind if you let them sign some FA to replace the players that aren't in the league.

Hey guys

Once again, I've been a bit lax in getting this league kick started ahead of the effective start of the NFL year. I propose we follow more or less the same schedule / set up that we had last year for the off season.

The league has now been activated, and all waiver budgets etc are restored to $200. As per last year, I'd like everyone to cut their squads to 19 players, 1 of which must be a kicker - anyone with a squad above 19 will have players cut for them until they are at 19. Ideally, this would be done before March 11 - the effective start of NFL free agency. This is how I see the schedule unfolding for the initial part of the off season

Now - Midnight March 10 - all teams to select up to 19 keepers (1 must be a kicker). This is done by going to your team page, selecting team settings then going to the keepers menu
March 11 - all non keepers will be cleared, and any extra cuts required will be made for you

After the NFL draft, we'll hold the normal 3 round rookie draft on here. Once that is complete and the selected rookies have been added to your squads, we'll again hold a blind bid auction draft to allow you to fill out your squads or acquire prize free agents

Once that is complete, free agency is open, and you can add / cut players as you see fit, but the normal squad rules will then apply

Olly has said he is taking the game seriously this year, and as no one else has declared an interest, he gets his team back by default Laugh

Apparently he's been negotiating trades already so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Because his team is SO bad, at some point either before or after the rookie draft, I'd like to give him a couple of free picks at the free agent pot - but open to suggestions if you guys disagree

This message will also be emailed to the league, but if the March 10 deadline for setting keepers is too short then please let me know

I am in and doing it properly - keepers set, I'm happy if I get no extra picks, confident in my ability to select good players.

On that note, I still have a wealth of QBs available - only one who is really unavailable is Watson who is my starter (would take a ridiculous offer) - mainly after either picks and/or RBs, so if you fancy one of em send me an offer (trade for Cousins already agreed)

Yeah, it says you have 13 atm

Reason for my post yesterday is that it automatically assumes that your keepers from the year before are keepers, so unless you make changes you'd lose any 2018 rookies you want to keep or players you've picked up in the last season

I can manually set keepers, but would rather not have to!

Yup that's the plan, although think I'll give the cash out on a sliding basis, so Olly gets the most and I'll get the least, to avoid people bidding the max for the same player and it needing a coin flip like last time Laugh

Would also like to give Olly's pitiful side a bit of a boost and let him have a free pick or two ahead of the rest of us - are we broadly in agreement on that?
