So if Bam is "banned" for a bit, I assume there will be a short wait for the opening of free agency... I assume there will be some kind of initial bidding budget like last time, then a free for all after that... I think we had a graduated budget before... obviously I am highly against this, since I will get the least money...

Thanks for getting the draft completed so quickly, I'm adding a taxi squad which will add 5 extra slots to your team - I'll be adding the players drafted so far, and there will then be space for any additions from the below

Next steps will be the blind bid auction for free agents as we've done for the last couple of years, its seemed to work quite well imo and there is a decent bit of talent about this time.

Blind bids are open from now until midnight on Sunday 7 June - I'll be announcing the results the next day.

Please PM me your bids, or in CJB's case he'll have to email them to me. I will not open any messages until I have sent my bids to someone who sends me their bids first

- Minimum bid for any player is $20
- You can bid for as many players as you want in line with the above, and as long as your total does not exceed your blind bid budget
- There is only one round of bidding
- In the event that two managers are tied for the highest bid on a player, both will be asked how much they want to rebid based on their remaining budget after all their 1st round bids have been allocated
- If you bid all your budget on two players and lose them both, you get nothing until free agency opens

I think that covers all the strange scenarios, but let me know if any other questions

Please could you all also move 5 players to your taxi squads - can be anyone, its just so that when I add any players you've won in the bids, I don't have to move players on to the taxi squad to make space first

After the blind bids there will be a week or so to cut down your rosters to meet requirements, and actual free agency can open

I don't expect any sympathy, as the reigning champ with a 3-0 record, but is there a reason the add/drop rules are so restrictive in this league?

e.g. I have picked up three players this week due to IR/COVID stuff... I now have Harrison Butcker at risk of missing the week due to more COVID stuff, and I would therefore like to drop one of those 3 players to get another kicker... however I am prevented from doing so, simply because I picked them up this week and it is within 48 hours of a game, even though 2 of the three were added to my roster way back on Tuesday...

I could be wrong but it may be to stop people from cycling through multiple players and restricting other owners. I think when you drop players they revert to waivers which could potentially stop others from adding them if close enough to game start time.

This season roster management is going to be important, personally I find this part of the challenge and I say that being in a similar position as you.

I do think as a league we should consider having a discussion about some of the issues that might come up this season, particularly about what we should do if the season is cancelled, however unlikely this outcome might be.

As I said, I only have the "problem", because my roster is good enough that I expect anyone I drop would be immediately picked up by someone else, so I won't be able to roster them again next week... that wont be the same for all.

As such, the only people I want to drop for this kind of COVID admin are the people I have brought into my squad purely because a slot opened up via IR

I guess the advantage of this league in that respect is there is no money involved... if the season ends, the season ends and nobody truly looses out as a result. The person with the highest W-L loss record and/or highest points differential could, I guess, take the moral high ground for the year and claim victory, but really it would just be a dead year.

I guess the bigger point would be how to deal with next years draft, but I reckon we can just wait until something (hopefully doesn't) happens before deciding what to do

Yup i'm in the same position this week, in the future I'll just have have to hold off adding a player if I can.

Had a shocking run of luck with injuries this season

Chubb, Odell, Mostert, Campbell all on IR at some point. Michael Thomas barely played this season and Mixon, Golladay and Carson all missed substantial time.

I've run out of IR spots and resorted to hoping Antonio Brown can do something on the field this tear Laugh

Can't see beyond Dave's juggernaut this year, but only takes one bad day !

I mean, I am getting a bit light on RBs, given 3 of mine are on week to week injuries... Of course, I can hardly say its a tough life when I had 4 RBs who were generally accepted as 1st / high 2nd round picks in seasonal leagues... but still, I am getting down to bare bones!
