I assume this has always been the case, but given I have two suspended players I assume they still need to count toward my 22, been though they will go straight into a RES slot as soon as possible?

Yep still need to be part of the 22! Although I don’t think they’re eligible for the IR slots at all if suspended

Apologies for the delay with this, real life got in the way - just bought our first house and every spare moment has gone on renovations!

Will do cuts today, will have to be brutal with them if anyone is still over the limit as there's not a lot of time before the season

Aside from not using taxi squads (because they should disappear)... are all other rules now as per regular season... aka, can I add a player for Michael Gallup who I have moved to IR, thus freeing up a roster spot...

Noting that Twelve283 has already poached the player I wanted to fill the spot with!

All good, open season on players now. Although I was also going to add Pacheco / Doubs but thought I’d give it a day so I wasn’t immediately doing it after opening free agency !!

Maybe in future seasons we have it as a waiver process from the start

Just goes to show what can happen when someone actually bothers to set their lineup.

On that note, guys if you’re logging on to make waiver claims just set your line up at the same time. Injuries etc happen late on but if you’ve got the time to do waivers you’ve got the time to move bye week players or long term injuries out of your team

Well, I managed to squeak my way into the final when I was worried I hadn't got enough of a lead going into SNF... But I wasn't expecting BamBam to be dealt his second loss!

So the unstoppable force is out and the final is between the only two teams who fluked their way into beating the Dezpacitos all year

Well, I'm pretty impressed at this one. I went into the season feeling a bit iffy with two suspended WRs (Ridley / Hopkins) and some RBs potentially on the downside and I have managed to make it work!

Still means the titles have only been shared between three players, with my two wins moving me level with BamBam, one behind twelve

I was well beaten in the Final, no complaints. To be honest just happy to post a winning record and to sneak into the Playoffs. Really struggled for squad depth, need to rebuild!

Hi all, details on keeper deadline, free agent auction and general thoughts on next year below

The usual target is to have rosters cut down ahead of the draft season and free agency kicking off in earnest (March 13 is the start of NFL Free Agency), so this year the keeper deadline will be 28 February. Please select 19 keepers, including 1 kicker.

To select your keepers: Go to your team page, select settings, then Keepers should be on the left hand side. If keepers are not selected I'll keep the highest ranked players in your squad based on Fantasy Pros dynasty rankings

Draft order for the rookie draft will be posted once the site updates after the Super Bowl.

Free agent bidding budgets for the auction after the draft are as follows:

A couple of comments from me on next year and beyond:

1. I'd like to change the playoffs timing so the championship game is week 17 rather than week 16 - this is a hangover from before the season extended to 17 games, I think it makes sense for the final full week to be the championship game in line with most redraft leagues but let me know if that doesn't work. It would mean an extra week of games for everyone obviously

2. Not a rule change, but if you log on to the site to make waiver picks, set your line up too.

I did consider making this a formal rule change where if waivers are bid for but an ineligible line up is put out then those waivers are cut from your squad. I don't want to do the admin on it so its not a formal rule change, but its really obvious when someone is trying to tank for better draft position, just follow the general rule of don't be a d1ck, play the game properly or just quit it altogether

This sort of relates to the above but I had been thinking of suggesting increasing the playoff teams to six with the top two seeds getting a bye for the 1st playoff round. I don't even know if this is possible but my thinking was it might keep more folks engaged throughout the season and possibly reduce variance in the playoffs.

Just putting the idea out there and if others like it then maybe we could trial it for one season and see how it goes?

On the topic of tanking, it's not something that's ever bothered me, just less competition for the championship and (usually) a free win when playing the tanking team(s). I know it does bother some folks though so i'm happy to be guided by the rest of the league on this.

I’d also like to get thoughts on twelve’s playoff proposal above - would people like there to be 6 playoff teams, the top two getting byes making the playoffs from week 15-17? I’ll have to check whether the site can do it too

I'd be fine with the adapted playoff idea... keeps the base season the same (even number of games), whilst also extending the overall length without going into the dreaded final week when fantasy seasons can be ruined by teams resting starters

Happy with that too.

Does the Kyler Murray for 3rd Round pick trade come with any FA budget swaps?

Maybe it is just because I would be surprised Kyler Murray is only worth a 3rd rounder with nothing else... or maybe its hopeful optimism because I was open to trading Joe Burrow and would have been holding out for far more than this trade initially implies!

I wasn't going to keep Kyler this year with his injury (sounds like from what I've read he'll likely not play first half of next year), so just getting rid really

I’ll make sure that the obvious players are kept unless there’s already 19 keepers set, so please check who you are currently keeping

Just a quick one... I know this has always caused a few issues, so suspect it is a flaw with Fleaflicker itself, but the draft pick timings are a little bit off in round 3.

E.g, the 3rd round pick I just traded to Olly should really be 3.10, not the 3.8 the system says (I did flag this is in the comments on the trade when sending it).

I think this is because picks 3.5 and 3.6 exist twice in the draft, which is even more confusing because some of the pairs have been traded amongst ourselves!

I’ll go through the picks and trades this week, I can usually figure it out pretty easily as there’s not many trades, I’ll unpick it the best I can and post up the order, then you can all tell me where I get it wrong
