Re: England vs Sri Lanka 2nd test debate
Finn or Dernbach?
Any idea what the pitch and weather should be like?
These could be factors in their final selection decision. Think I would go for Finn, but a bit worried that this may leave England's pace attack a bit one dimensional.

Not sure on the pitch but I know theres no forecast for rain over the next few days.
Flower says he won't make his pick until the morning of the test depending on the pitch and conditions. Wouldn't surprise me too much if they went with Dernbach. Although Finn obviously will be the likely option.
Re: England vs Sri Lanka 2nd test debate
think it should be Finn. its his home ground where he has a good record. Finn's a wicket taker, all be it with an economy rate that has to come down. with experience he'll be able to address.

Toss predictions anyone?
Surely if England win the toss they'll bat first after the success in the 1st test. Forecast looking lovely aswell.

Re: England vs Sri Lanka 2nd test debate
Argh.
Sounded pretty plumb.
Cook doesn't sound too secure yet. Everyone's vulnerable early.
Good to hear the commentator aying he looks good on the front foot though. That's where he's poor when out of form.

It was pretty plumb cowshot. Cook did very well in advising Strauss not to refer as it would have been wasted.

Nope there isn't.
Not many people come to close to these in the batting ranks aswell.

I like KP but time is starting to run out on him now. Needs a big score.
Re: England vs Sri Lanka 2nd test debate
in a way, good for KP that he came in early, doesn't have to face the left am spinner right away.

This is what annoys me with England, they make one outstanding performance then the next play poor.
Perfect conditions for batting England should be scoring alot of runs on this pitch.
KP
Hello one and all:
Would it be churlish of me to say, 'time to drop him'?
What a terrible shot. Boycott's mum ...

Re: England vs Sri Lanka 2nd test debate
The pitch isnt doing much, I wonder if Trott was a bit fatigued. So SL off to a great start.
Cookie and Belly need to keep it tight and get to lunch.
Lovely day at Lords - looks great 8)

Welcome Eltham
I think alot of people including myself think he should be dropped. It's Bopara or Hildreths chance now surely.

Re: England vs Sri Lanka 2nd test debate
By gum. And some people say test cricket is dull...
Bell sounds in good nick.
Wonder if Trott had really recovered from his marathon at the weekend? Sounded like a tired shot.
