Even Aaron Cresswell's parents wouldn't put him into the best XI on here.

Re: The World League II
I rate him as the best LB in the league Olly. He's immense and deserves an England callup, certainly ahead of Baines.

Re: The World League II
I like Cresswell, but I've compiled a list of better LB's than Aaron Cresswell within this league.
Chiellini not even a LB gets picked ahead of him
Christian Fuchs
Lucas Digne
Cristian Ansaldi
Alex Telles
Maxwell
Patrice Evra
Jetro Willems
Ben Davies

I fall somewhere between Azzy and Marky's extremes
He's a decent left back, better than a few of the ones on Marky's list!

Re: The World League II
Fuchs has been bang average for Leicester.
Digne is mine so I won't comment.
Ansaldi is average.
Telles can be good, but isn't as good as Cresswell.
Maxwell has one good game and you all cream over him. He's the weak link in the PSG team.
Evra was poor three years ago. Serie A is like MLS these days.
Willems never fulfilled his potential.
Davies is promising but is second choice behind Danny Rose. That's Danny Rose.
Cresswell has been a revelation for West Ham and would be in my PL XI for the season, easily. With van Aanholt (mine) on the bench as cover. Azpilicueta at RB to allow him to play too.

Re: The World League II
If you are referring to me saying he had a good game the other day yes I did because he had a good game and I don't think everyone creamed over him, it doesn't seem like Hero is his biggest fan either and I don't think many people would put him in their top 5 list of left backs around even top 10 but he is a decent player IMO.
As for Serie A I disagree that it's like the MLS, there are some really good teams in there, I don't think I even have to mention how good Juvenus and Napoli are.

Re: The World League II
The fact that Serie A is on the cusp of overtaking the Premier League for four slots in the Champions League shows the MLS reference up for what it is.
Can Aaron Creswell do this?

Schmeichel, Huth, Morgan, Kante, Mahrez and Vardy have been excellent. Drinkwater and Okazaki good. Fuchs and Simpson less so. Just my opinion.Marky wrote:Azzy wrote:Fuchs has been bang average for Leicester.

I'm going to have to step back from running things, got a new job as Maintenance Manager of the Customer Information Systems for the Docklands Light Railway in London. Big commute and less time at home so can't really prioritise this league.

I'm sure between us all we can sort injuries/lawyers each week. You've already done the hard bit of sorting the draft out

He scored in the previous round but like a lot of those players they were in too deep today. Not helped by the "experienced" players being awful (Caballero and Demichelis especially bad)

Re: The World League II
Mixture of things really. Tactically they were poor, Fabregas had the freedom of Stamford Bridge, even in spotty form you cant give him time.
Chelsea were also really good. Dont know if anyone's signed him, but Traore has looked a useful player in the cameos I've seen.
Lastly, this was probably a step too far for some at this stage of their careers. A few looked overawed

For the price he is, It's not worth the lay out of that kind of money. Sure he has done well this year but not enough for 15.75m. It's just a type English over inflation. He rarely turned up or effected games against the top sides by the looks of his 2 assists vs Chelsea & a goal vs Arsenal but that's it for someone of that price you'd want better. By what i said 5 games was generous

Turning up for 5 games or being value for money are two different things, so make your mind up.
You'll be calling him lazy from that bandwagon next.

Re: The World League II
You should be happy i gave him 3 more games then i should of by the looks of it Unfortunately Afro you could argue for 5 games or value for money. Everton seems to be more reliant of Lukaku & Deulofeu nowadays which probably isn't a good sign for Barkley at the moment.

The English tax exists when buying, but in the media people are too afraid to hype any English player these days.
If Raheem Sterling were French or Spanish he'd be a future superstar

Vice versa, look at Jesus Navas. Highly billed because hes Spanish, comes to England and hes actually not any better than Aaron Lennon. Foreign players are far more hyped than English players.

Soldados another decent example. Is he really any better than a Defoe type?

I'd disagree, Dele Alli, Kane and Sterling are thought of as global superstars already, especially in here, everyone calls me for a next big thing that's played one good season yet the same people cream their pants over Dele Alli.

And just because a player fails to work in a certain team in the Premier League doesn't mean they're not a good player.
Take Chicarito, okay in the Premier League, storming it in the Bundesliga.

Sterling was placed number 1 prospect in Europe in 2014, so he's certainly been given the 'superstar' tag.

Dele Alli most definitely is not thought as a global superstar. Kane probably isnt either.

He scored in the previous round but like a lot of those players they were in too deep today. Not helped by the "experienced" players being awful (Caballero and Demichelis especially bad)
The English lad Adarabioyo looked like he's got a future, Faupala I quite liked as well, you could tell though that Iheanacho has had a fair few more games for the first team. Like you mentioned though the senior players were the ones that let them down.

They're certainly well thought of as seen in the already mentioned '23 under 23':

6 of the 23 are English.
10 of the 23 play in the Premier League.
