That goal was hard to take considering we had played extremely well and even came close to scoring minutes before but i always knew it would be tough.

Thanks mate.
It's easier to take now knowing that PSG have been brilliant this season, i know there are arguments to say that the French league isn't as strong and it's probably right but they could win it as early as this weekend..that is impressive regardless.

Re: The World League II
It’s been a tough season for us..
I love what Hiddink has done though and I assume he is off in the Summer but he has done a good job, steadied the ship so to speak.
In terms of a new manager I read up some information about Conte and I like what I read, the other manager we could get is Simeone however the Conte deal looks and sounds like its inevitable.
Both would be good appointments, I wouldn’t even mind Hiddink full time but I don’t think that will happen. Whoever the new manager is we need to firm up at the back again, we have a good defence but recently we have shipped some goals and we were not like that last season.
I can see some big signings coming in however I can see some players moving on as well, who knows maybe a shake up is what we need and it all depends on who the new manager is to determine who comes in and goes out I suppose.

Fantastic news for English football. Fat Roman will lose interest now, the club will go into liquidation, and we can all forget the time when Chelsea bought the league with a bunch of divers and cheats.

No chance Pogba and Grizzlyman go to a team outside the CL

First of all if Roman is fat then wow...I must be humongous!
Secondly, it's ok spending money like we did but the players actually have to play together to win the title which was down to the genius of Mourinho.
Thirdly, I think if he was going to lose interest it would of been after the Champions League, by the way we won that. It's nearly 4 years on from that and he hasn't gone anywhere.

There is a chance, considering Di Maria was doing quite well at Real then went to Utd when they didn't have Champions League. Europe certainly helps to lure the top players sure but it's not impossible.

Re: The World League II
Sorry Miky, not saying it to wind you up, but Chelsea have only money to offer.
Pogba particularly has his choice of any club in the world, Di Maria was unwanted by Real, couldn't be bought by PSG and no one else wanted him.
Maybe more chance of Griezmann, but only if Simeone is appointed manager, which seems unlikely given the Conte links

I disagree that it's okay spending money as you did - it was before FFP and gave the club an enormously unfair advantage over everyone else.
Roman is now further away from winning the CL than he was when he bought the club. How interested do you think he's going to be this season and next? Why would he put another £500m into the transfer kitty to turn the club around when he's already won everything he wants to win?
He's under pressure back home due to his alleged involvement in Vladimir Putin's $40bn personal wealth, and he will likely need to exit Chelsea at some point in the next few years to shore up his future post-Putin. What better time than when Chelsea aren't worth the effort?

Don't forget that the oil price cuts have already taken more than $1bn off his personal wealth. He's having to work hard at his job again. That will take his focus away from Chelsea too.

Re: The World League II
The CL isn't the be all and end all for if a player will join a club, sure it's certainly appealing to a lot of top drawer players but a big stinking pile of cash seems to be more appealing for many.

Morning
I reckon Chelsea would have got the third goal of the game if Costa didn't get injured, it was a huge blow.
Oh well I fully expect Chelsea to rebuild next season and make some huge signings.
Whats everyones prediction for Liverpool V United? I'm going with a 1-0 win for United.

I was saying that we spent the money sure but I meant that its all well and good spending that money and we did but the players have to perform to make it worthwhile for those players to have been bought for the amounts of money that they did and they proved that by winning the title twice.

Re: The World League II
There was an excellent piece on the Guardian a few weeks ago about Abramovich, and the other Russian billionaires. Essentially, their cash reserves are drying up as the companies they all own have stopped giving out dividends, due to the losses they're now making. It said that the cost of their extravagant lifestyles - yachts, choppers, houses, football clubs etc - is going to be pinched due to their cash flow difficulties.
Unless Roman sells up - which he wouldn't be allowed to, due to Putin's influence - he cannot indefinitely keep Chelsea afloat. At some point, he has to go. He should go now to protect his and his family's future.

Re: The World League II
To be fair to Chelsea by the time Roman leaves there's a good chance they'll already be solidified as one of the bigger clubs in Europe, earning vast sums of TV money and with no shortage of billionaire owners to take over.
Even Crawley Town have new foreign owners, no reason why Chelsea would go back to where they were pre-Abrahmovich once he goes.

Re: The World League II
Mate of mine is a season ticket holder and was there last night.
Apparently there were 2 PSG fans sitting a few rows behind him, when they scored the 2 chaps celebrated.
Stewards grabbed them to remove them, not before they took a fair few punches from good old Chelsea fans seated nearby.

Here comes the Chelsea fan onslaught again. I don't condone any behaviour like BamBam just said about his friend but I would say most of our fans aren't like that and I bet every club has a group of fans who cause trouble or have caused trouble..

I wonder how many of them would have been Chelsea fans if Roman hadn't arrived. They'd all probably be United fans as that is where all the glory hunters went before.

Apparently there were 2 PSG fans sitting a few rows behind him, when they scored the 2 chaps celebrated.
Stewards grabbed them to remove them, not before they took a fair few punches from good old Chelsea fans seated nearby.
That's football fans. It's too tribal.

Re: The World League II
I have been to Stamford Bridge four times, as an away fan. My experiences were as follows:Holymiky wrote:Here comes the Chelsea fan onslaught again. I don't condone any behaviour like BamBam just said about his friend but I would say most of our fans aren't like that and I bet every club has a group of fans who cause trouble or have caused trouble..
- Verbal abuse, all four times (despite not even wearing an Albion shirt, just for being a normal person apparently)
- Spat on, all four times
- Punched in the head, three of four times
- Girlfriend verbally abused and pushed, the one time I took her (an ex, so I'm no longer worried)
- Items thrown at me, all four times
- One policeman who refused to get involved when the girlfriend was pushed, saying 'I can't do anything with that mob'
Not to mention the time I was verbally abused by Chelsea fans having come out of the Director's suite, having cheered on Chelsea all day and wearing a Chelsea scarf.
When I eventually start taking my son to football matches, Stamford Bridge will be the very last of the '92' he will go to. Chelsea fans are vile, and Miky and my boss are the only two I would ever have anything other than contempt for. Arsenal fans are deluded, Tottenham fans are offensive to Jews, but Chelsea fans are 99% an abomination, and I want nothing more than to see them all become Citeh fans.

Re: The World League II
When I worked at Old Trafford in the away stand, there were only two games when I genuinely feared for my safety. Galatasaray and Chelsea. I'm not saying you're a problem or anything Miky but I've dealt with the away supporters of every Premier League Club and the Chelsea fans are the most aggressive, nasty fans by far. I'm sure everyone knows about Galatasaray.

If Roman clears off, you'll probably get your wish.
I always think Norwich must have the calmest fans going. Their idea of hooligans and pitch invasions is a half time appearance by a drunken cook with a mic.

Some disgusting chants by man utd fans tonight aswell. “The Sun was right, you’re murderers” and “sit down if you’re murderers”. And it wasn't just a minority who were chanting it. Typical manure United supporters taking out their frustrations of a Poopie season by being the loyal supporters they are and showing ultimate disrespect. There's banter and then there's taking things too far. Hope they're banned from Europe for at least 5 years, but knowing them they won't even make it into the europa league next season. Shambles of a club.

Never heard a peep from you when Madrid fans had Nazi flags against Bayern or racist chanting. I love how you say United were disrespectful but you call them Manure , so it's OK you mocking the dead? Have some respect Nadeem you little troll.
I'm not going to defend those United fans I hope they all get life time bans but it's a bit rich coming from you when you're abusing dead people. Hero I hope you ban him.

How is "manure" mocking the dead? It's mocking Man Utd. Unless you mean because they're dead.

Origin of Manure is a song referring to Duncan Edwards rotting in his grave

Never knew that about the origin of 'manure'. I've never used the phrase myself as I'd rather call the club what it is - a laughing stock - than use such juvenile words. Glad I never have done.
But regardless, the Premier League, FA, UEFA and FIFA all have to come together to stop this kind of chanting. Be it United mocking Hillsborough, Liverpool mocking Munich, nazi flags, racist abuse, whatever - any club with fans doing anything like that, slap them with a huge fine - I'm talking £500k or more - and deduct points / expel them from the competition.
Clubs will then need to deal with their thugs, which in turn will allow more families to attend games. It's actually win-win, as the thugs who are singing these vile songs, and holding up the vile flags, and abusing players - they don't spend money in the club shop, or buy food at the ground, or a programme. They booze up before the game, have one at half time, and that's it. It would actually benefit teams to have an excuse to rid themselves of their idiot fans.

How about fans who throw coins at players? Where do you stand on that Azzy?

Re: The World League II
That's the one thing I hate at football games is the chanting. Even at Macc Town I pay for the more expensive seats away from the singing group as the songs generally have 2-3 swear words in them and usually refer to the opposing fans as being inbred or enjoying sexual relationships with sheep and I get my two lads asking what they're singing about.

Apparently it was West Brom fans that the manure song originated from as well, never knew that.
