Re: The World League II
Lukaku, followed by Payet. Even Lukaku's second was better than Guedioura's, I really don't see that as special.Marky wrote:So what was the best FA Cup goal of the weekend?
Lukaku's 1st v Chelsea
Payet v Man U
Guedioura v Arsenal
Bizarre semi finals - Watford, Everton, Palace, hopefully West Ham. Whichever of those teams wins the Cup, no matter their league position, it's been a great season for them. An Everton win so many years after Amokachi and Rideout? Yes please.

Re: The World League II
One of the things that struck me this weekend was that during the United-West Ham game, I was glad United equalised, as West Ham would be the more difficult game if we drew either of them.
A sign of how United have fallen from grace. I would have wanted to avoid them like the plague before now.

Azzman - I'm going to the hawthornes this weekend - so that means that 1. We'll lose and 2. Is there any decent pubs near the ground?
(Last time I saw Norwich win away was against Stoke in 2013 - although we won at Wembley last year that wasn't an away game)

Re: The World League II
Just to address this;
A lot of that was explaining where my players were lining up as if losing I was switching from a 4-4-2 diamond to a 3-1-4-2. Not easy. Kept it to a minimum but fair point.
First things first, 100 words for the subs from Marky, to me that's overstretching the rules somewhat.

In terms of pubs, I'm not entirely sure which is best for away fans (they'll know you're a Norwich fan if they see how many fingers you have when you're drinking your pint). I think the Royal Oak - a few minutes past the ground - might be best at the moment. Definitely NOT the pub at the ground, they don't take kindly to away fans.

Just to clarify, are subs not included in the 100 words for tactics?

Re: The World League II
Subs aren't included in the 100 words.
The setup should be;
Fixture
Team (and subs bench)
100 words of tactics
Substitutions

Re: The World League II
I do think there should be a cap on the subs, I fully realise a large portion of the 100 words you used were just replacing names and showing differences in formation etc but it still amounted to basically double the word count of what others write.

Oh you ######d! Now that's exactly what we'll do.
We are experts at clutching defeat from the hands of victory. Doing the hard work and then stuffing up. Ballsing it all up. We don't need you talking it in as well!!!
Ps I have us at 25/1 to win it so I hope you are right (although the cash out is tempting).

It's so Martinez can complete his full cycle of making Everton a slightly better version of Wigan

Re: The World League II
Tactics sent to Marky, I'd wish Nadeem luck but it appears all you need do is play 4-2-3-1 and you get the win. Nadz, hint here: only pick players in the formations they play in real life. Apparently professional footballers with years of experience and tons of ability don't have the capacity to play anything other than 4-2-3-1.

Re: The World League II
Signed Maicon. Not his biggest fan but can definitely do a job at RB for a while as he's playing okay for Roma this season. No-one here has Gareth Bale anyway...
Iheanacho off the bench is a great addition as well, unless anyone thinks he could play ahead of Ribery at LW?
Schmeichel
Maicon - Jagielka - Balanta - Fuchs
Mascherano
Vidal - Cazorla
Guedes ----------------- Ribery
Lewandowski

I'd suggest playing Cazorla at LW, as he's proven capable in the past, but no doubt you'd get downmarked for it.

Re: The World League II
I have considered it but I do like the idea of Vidal and Cazorla in midfield together. I think those two with Ribery wide wins more games than Vidal and Cataldi with Cazorla wide.
Especially now Ribery is playing again and hopefully stays fit for a while.

I don't want to screw people over.
I did tell you to wait and see what Hero says but you went and cancelled it before doing that

I already asked Hero and he has said it was fine before I pmed you but out of pure guilt I wanted to reverse it regardless but Hero was insistent on me keeping him in the end.

When you play each other it's got to be Draxler x2

Thoughts on this - not sure whether to sell Aboubakar or not. And would it be better to have Payet and Cavani as wingers instead? I'm presuming one of my defensive players will get injured so Blind can fill in where needed.
