News items that dont merit their own thread...thread
First topic message reminder :
I totally understand that the majority of you may dislike or have never seen any form of Independent Wrestling so turn a blind eye to it but I truly believe this is such a powerful promo hyping something that we all share here...
This is Mike Quackenbush, founder of Chikara Pro and I quite frankly consider him to be one of the best storytellers in the business. Enjoy.

Dont think you can credit TNA for Galloway, he'd already well established himself before signing for them. I'll give you EC3.

He's very strong on the mic, solid ring worker albeit nothing spectacular and I for once agree with Adam in that TNA would be a good fit for him.

Undertaker's match is now planned according to Meltzer and it isn't Owens, Cena, Strowman or Lesnar. It is somebody not currently on the roster.
That'd surely point to Sting? But I can't imagine he's in any shape to wrestle.

Sting needs surgery so i doubt it. Could be Orton since he doesnt need neck surgery anymore apparently.

Not on the roster? Rock? Angle? Mysterio? Joe? Balor? Corbin? I tell ya, I bet Austin would consider his last match being against Taker.

Crimey has worded it wrong, *The opponent is believed to be someone who isn't currently active on the roster right now*.

Balor vs Taker would be a great way to introduce the Balor Club

On his radio show last night, Dave clarified his statement from the Observer. Undertaker's opponent at Mania won't be a guy like Orton who is out injured and it won't be an NXT guy like Balor. Dave says he was told it will be someone who "is not an active wrestler". Let the Sting speculation begin, I guess.
So Sting is surely the most likely right now.

Id be surprised if was sting. Could be The Rock if gets clearance, I doubt would be Batista. The long shot is Kurt Angle who left TNA the other week...

Re: News items that dont merit their own thread...thread
Rock could get clearance. Batista has said he wants a real run if he does wrestle, and would also need clearance cos of movies. Angle could definitely be a shout but I don't think WWE will want to help him make money outside of the company, thus helping others make money, for a one-off. Stone Cold is always going to be an outside shout with the Texas connection too. HBK?
And then Bryan as a work, that would be incredible. 99.9% not happening, but oh it so amazing.

Fun Fact: If you go on Google Translate and translate Sami Zayn into Arabic, then translate that bit of Arabic back into English you get El Generico. Saw this on Reddit and called cowpat but can confirm it works.

Profightdb.com have compiled %'s and stats of all the wrestlers who have ever worked for WWE. One of the factors that sticks out is win percentages of current talent.
1. El Torito 91.78%
2. Finn Bálor 88.46%
3. Charlotte 85.83%
4. John Cena 78.80%
5. Neville 78.00%
Interesting note No1. El Torito's 91.78% is the highest of any wrestler who has ever worked in WWE. Ever.
Also, Duke 'The Dumpster' Droese has a higher win % that Brock Lesnar.

Rumour: Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are to skip NXT and go straight to the main roster. Debuts are expected around Mania time and they'll be coming up at the same time as Finn Balor - forming the Balor Club (possibly named Bulletproof)

- Raw Spoiler:
- The Reddit guy has spoken hasn't been wrong yet.
"You'll probably want to tune in.
Admittedly a bit more generic than the Shane surprise. Something tells me you will still enjoy it though."
Id assume this is Sami going main roster tbh. Could be Cena returning it's a vague teaser.

NXT's lead writer "promoted" to Smackdown lead writer (hes been back and forth between the posts before)
WWE apparently interested in Okada.
Titus will quit WWE when his deal expires.
TMDK (House or someone will have to tell me more) apparently heading to WWE (said to be Haste and Nicholls? Enigma?)

Re: News items that dont merit their own thread...thread
"Exactly how much of this is legit or exaggerated you can make up your own mind, but the Vince McMahon vs. HHH dynamic is something that everyone is talking about internally, even more since Shane McMahon appeared on the scene. The feeling is that if Shane McMahon actually does come back into the company in an executive capacity that it’ll be Vince playing Shane against HHH and Stephanie.
While publicly HHH will say Vince loves NXT, the internal perception is very different, seeing it as a touring brand filled with so many guys Vince doesn’t believe are money. We do know there was a lot of heat on HHH and complaints for not selling the Reigns beating in public, because he had to get his face on the NXT show in London knowing it would be a super show in front of that crowd and he didn’t want anyone to not know it was his creation and baby.
The questions regarding Reigns given how he’s not gotten over with HHH as his adversary for so long has led to plenty of finger pointing, although a lot of people pointed to the crotch chop on Raw as the sign HHH is no longer really behind the cause of getting Reigns over as a face. Perhaps that’s just paranoia and frustration, but the way Reigns was eliminated at the Rumble and the HHH/Reigns interaction with him has been curious to say the least."

Re: News items that dont merit their own thread...thread
In other news Ken Anderson has parted ways with TNA. Running his mouth as supposedly got himself into trouble again.
TMDK (The Mighty Don't Kneel) - Yeah that's two guys Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste who have both attended try-outs at various points over the past 12 months. In all honesty, they're a strange one. They were only used sparingly in ROH making a limited number of appearances but didn't really stand out. They have made quite an impression in Japan though by doing considerably well in NOAH and have started to make appearances in NJPW recently so I'm hoping they have improved and can offer the tag-team division something before undoubtedly splitting them up.
NXT Head Booker - Interesting move that. No doubt he'll have to see out and work with the current storylines he's been dealt with but it will be interesting to see if Smackdown start to get their own identity as opposed to being a fall-out show from whatever happens on RAW these days.

Enigma filled in most of the back story on TMDK, they're a very talented tag team from Australia, they haven't really worked anywhere high profile regularly outside of NOAH but they were said to have impressed on their NXT tryout last year and if Haste hadn't gone down with a knee injury they'd probably be gone by now
I don't doubt WWE are interested in Okada but following the Nakamura/Styles situation NJPW were very public in sinking 200m yen (roughly 1.5 million dollars) over a 5 year deal, I'm not 100% sure he's signed it but if he has he obviously won't be able to go to WWE for the foreseeable future

He has to win it then. No point at all him being in it if he doesn't win it. I'd like to see the rest of the Wyatt family destroy everybody with Bray, then step out for him to win. I know Luke Harper is out though so that will make that harder.
I don't think they've actually got 30 people to fill it this year, unless some people do double duty or they use NXT guys.
