Finn Balor has said his injury is worse than originally thought and is looking at atleast 6 months rehab, ruling out a Rumble return.

This could just be a work to make his return seem more of a shock. They could still put him in the match and protect his shoulder before winning, then he doesnt need to wrestle again for a while like when Cena returned in 08.

I think that will be the match Lesnar is involved in, probably vs Orton again, or somebody else who Shane picks.

I wouldn't be getting ny hopes up, Bálor is a great talent but he isn't near the level of draw that would have WWE take such a risk with him unless they were 100% certain he'd be fit and healthy for WrestleMania IMO

Cody Rhodes vs Kurt Angle took place last night at Northeast Wrestling...and Cody picked up the win. Sounds like his matches the past few weekends with Hero and Angle have been real hits

I haven't seen the Angle match but his debut weekend with Evolve can't have been everything he hoped for

It's hard to be too critical as both matches were fine/good but one has to assume Rhodes intentions with his public leaving and the 'dream list' were to drum up publicity and create a buzz for himself as someone WWE would treat on the Balor/Nakamura/Styles level upon his return

There's a strong argument that in terms of men to have great matches with on the US indies that Sabre Jr and Hero are as good as it gets, and again while I want to say neither watch was bad, I don't think anyone can say on the back of those 2 matches WWE doesn't know what it's missing

It often takes time for ex-WWE workers to get into the swing of things on the indies, both Galloway and Trent Baretta hardly blew the doors off on their initial return, but Rhodes clearly has a pre-designed game plan to gain maximum hype from his time on the indies so he's going to have to start delivering

BOLA is coming in fast and it's been well documented that Poopie the bed at BOLA can be a real hit to the credibility of guys, see Curt 'Brian Myers' Hawkins, the guy cultivated an underrated aura for himself, was poor at BOLA and never seen again

I like Rhodes and I hope he succeeds but at his price tag, having 'ok' matches against the Sabre Jr's and Hero's of this world is not a way to earn himself a regular spot on the boutique, high visability indies, so hopefully BOLA will give a really blow away performance to really cement him

It would be harsh to judge Cody on BOLA this year tbh realistically all he's ever known is the WWE style which doesn't translate well onto the indy scene give it 12 months imo.

As everybody knows, I am a former WWE and TNA Superstar. As everybody also knows, WWE has been attempting to reach out to former WWE stars to help build the RAW and Smackdown Live dynasty. Recently, I was approached by a man named Mark Carrano. He offered me a full-time deal to return to the RAW brand. I kindly declined. I'm 38 years old, my body isn't capable of being a full-time WWE wrestler anymore like it was back in 2006, 10 years ago. I like the idea of being on the independent scene, mainly because I get to pick the dates I want to work. After recent concussion issues, I was advised to retire. I said no. 2 months later, I made a remarkable recovery and was cleared to compete. Although, I just didn't feel as good as I used to when I wrestled full time. Since February 2016, I have been semiretired. If WWE decides to reconsider and offer me a part-time deal, I'd gladly accept it. I have no bad blood with WWE, I just can't physically compete full-time anymore. As far as a TNA return goes, consider it off the table. At least WWE knows how to pay their talents on time, just saying...

RUMOUR: CODY RHODES REACHES DEAL WITH TNA WRESTLING!

Former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes is reportedly headed to TNA soon. Dave Meltzer spoke with Cody at Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's Battle of Los Angeles this weekend. Cody has a deal in place with TNA.

Cody is apparently planning on feuding with Mike Bennett in TNA after the two recently worked together in Northeast Wrestling. Brandi Rhodes, the former Eden, has been doing some of Cody's ring announcing on the indies and it sounds like she may appear in TNA as well, perhaps in a mini-feud with Bennett's wife Maria Kanellis.

El Patron is already booked for WCPW's next show on Thursday. Credit to Pacitti he doesnt Frak about. AFAIK Paige hasnt officially been released yet and I doubt WWE will. They'll keep paying her as long as they can to screw her over at this point. Unless Paige's legal team sort something out it could be a long time before you see her elsewhere.

Shame, I always had a soft spot for Paige. I think she was middle of the pack when it comes to the womens division. Not the best but certainly better than most of them, think there could have been a spot for her on RAW mixing it up with Bayley and Banks.

That said, she hasnt been on TV in forever and I've already forgot what she was doing after she cut that promo on Charlotte, so I cant say I'll notice shes not there. Del Rio is a bigger loss IMO.

At best she can be credited for kick starting a Women's revolution. But it was one that far surpassed her because she didn't progress at all.
Will be remembered for a massive pop which was, in context, from a mostly British post-Wrestlemania crowd that also made Fandango a phenomenon

Hope she goes on to WCPW and does good things there. But like Samo rightly says... I won't even notice she's not there.

Always feel for her for missing out in NXT on the talent that came, and WWE tarnishing her when those ladies did come up. She could have had some great matches, arguably her best was against Emma, but without all that she hasn't really achieved much.
