Weekends Action - Predictions
There's a few PDT (Pretty Damn Tasty) fights coming up this weekend.
Carl Frampton Vs Scott Quigg
Leo Santa Cruz Vs Kiko Martinez
Terence Crawford Vs Henry "Hank" Lundy,
Marco Huck Vs Ola Afolabi
Think you'll agree for a single night, that's quite a tasty line up we have for ourselves.
Highlight of the night being Frampton Vs Quigg, for me.
So where's your guys' money on for each of these fights?
I've uploaded my own prediction and Betting Guide to the fights if you would like to see it.
https://youtu.be/Zc-pOOuTfO0
I think if we can't get excited for nights like this we may aswell change sport. Thoughts??

Biggest doubt is Frampton just because he seems like he'll get into a tear up.

Frampton has too much all round ability for Quigg although Quigg seems with each fight looking huge at the weight.
Cruz and Crawford are straight forward wins and hope Cruz is in the shake up as the next opponent for the Frampton/Quigg winner. Martinez has nothing left at this level.
Huck should win but wondering what the KO defeat in such a brutal fight would have done to him. Afolabi just does not work enough in fights and could miss out on an opportunity here but if there is too be an upset then this is the one for me it will happen in.

Re: Weekends Action - Predictions
A lot of reports coming out over here (Ireland) that Frampton is struggling with the weight.
I have always thought Frampton would win but I'm not as sure now or less sure of how he'll win.
Previously I thought Quigg would come out early and attack and that Frampton would grow into the fight and pull away down the home straight. However, if he's struggling with the weight he might have to win the early rounds as he'll tire down the straight.
I'll stick with my prediction of Frampton points but a lot less confident than when the fight was made.

Re: Weekends Action - Predictions
Santa Cruz always looked huge at super bantam and this fight is at Featherweight, as was his fight with Mares. He won't move back down now so Quigg or Frampton would have to move up. Can't see Quigg moving but Frampton needs to although he'll be tiny in that division. I think he'll really struggle up there.

I'm sure there'll be a Quigg rematch (unless Frampton wins emphatically) and then Frampton will be off to feather to fight the likes of LSC, Mares and Donaire.

Re: Weekends Action - Predictions
Mcguigan said a Donaire fight could happen at super bantam. He mentioned a couple of other that they may stay at the weight to fight. Rigondeaux wasn't mentioned though.

McGuigan has all but ruled Rigondeaux out. Read BN last night and McGuigan said that Frampton wants to fight Rigo next but he'll try to persuade him to face LSC instead.

Quigg to ko Frampton
Santa Cruz to walk through Martinez
Crawford to destroy Lundy
And Huck to beat Olafabi by SD. Again.

Re: Weekends Action - Predictions
Don't think there will be crowd trouble. I would imagine Eddie is smart enough to realise that having a bunch load of Irish in the building could spell trouble and will have put on extra security, having paid for it by chucking another 3000 tickets on StubHub.
Predictions?
Barry Mac to mention he fought on ITV: Over 10 times
Froch to mention he fought infront of more people: Over 50 times
Heart says Quigg, head now leaning to Quigg but not by much. Not gonna put anything on it

I can't see there being any bother (no more than usual). Does Quigg have fans that would be that much into it? I strongly doubt it.
I'll take Frampton to win a comfortable points decision. Too clever for Quigg.

Quiggs's gonna KO Frampton I can smell it. Having a nice chunky bet at 6/4 myself. Maybe even a smaller chunk on the KO. Absolutely cannot wait for this fight now.

We need to do a crowdsource to pay for Darke's contract to be scrapped at BT Sport and his new salary at Sky.

I can actually see their point. Halling is pro-Gallagher, pro-Matchroom. If the fight's close, his commentary could change people's perceptions of what has actually gone down (providing they have the sound on of course).

A smart call. I am biased, so I predict a stoppage, but that is actually a smart prediction. Though is Framps makes a mistake, he can be taken out. This is a f....g exciting fight!

I just seen the weigh in. Quigg with big black eyes and was looking a little nervous during stare down. Blinking and Swallowing.
I am convinced Frampton and his team look far more confident.

Framptons to me looked the more nervous actually. In the stare down he was saying from side to side a lot of nervous energy looked to be in him, whereas Quigg looked straight ahead and looked the more composed. Don't think it means that much though

Frampton Early KO.
Quigg wont be able to take his shots.
Quigg looks gaunt, and broken and ill at the weigh in, Framps his usual immovable self.
C'mon the Jackal!!!

Nervous to me is that unbeaten Cuban Gonzalez watching Bowe threatening to kill him and chucking heavy objects at his head...
Larry Donald looked a little nervous too...
No one did face offs like Bowe..

I agree Adam, Quigg looks like hes gonna capitulate, I think its all too much for him, he looked far from healthy and Frampton will take him out early.
This is going to be an easy nights work for the Jackal, I'm convinced of it.

Nice to see it has started, my favourite part of any big fight build up, the metamorphosis of ordinary people into body language experts.

Doesn't take a body language expert to identify that Scott Quigg looks like an extra out of Michael Jackson's Thriller video.

Re: Weekends Action - Predictions
Just seen some of the weigh in on Sky Sports News. Bit pathetic really all the talk is about the dressing room. This pettiness doesn't look good for boxing
At one point Framton was doing his interview and he looked away from the camera for a split second. Quigg didn't...which means Quigg will win

Re: Weekends Action - Predictions
I don't usually read too much into things like this, but I think you really could see the nervous energy in Frampton, he couldn't stand still, he seems like he's just waiting to explode. He's a passionate guy and it could either help him or hinder him. Quigg looked more in control of himself to me, steely determined look on his face, like he's controlling the emotions slightly better. Whatever the result I really think we'll be treated to a terrific fight. Gone for Quigg after being Frampton all the way until their last fights. They say never switch sides, but for some reason I am feeling more and more confident that Quigg will really stun a lot of people tommorow. Even if he doesn't win, I can imagine he'll go out with an effort ala Groves in the first Froch fight.

Re: Weekends Action - Predictions
It is pathetic to be fair. Can you imagine the press conference when one of them had to explain to the thousands of fans who had bought tickets, hotels, travel and booked time off work they had wasted their money because they could not have the room they wanted.
One should ask to share with Buffer, he strikes me as the sort who will not settle for a broom cupboard.

But Groves was a big outsider...Alex.
A heroic loss when your 6/4 ...Isn't that great.
Yes the dressing room stuff is childish...
