I just want to say good luck to you and your team tomorrow.
I'm sure I'm not the only person sick to death of the constant petty bickering and one-upmanship.
Wales - you have a really good team, a great coach and masses of great fans. I am a particular fan of Roberts. I think he's an awesome player, athlete and gentleman.
Obviously I want the England team to beat you hollow - and fully accept that you want your team to do the same to us.
I think it will be a close game and could go either way.
Tomorrow I will go to the pub, put on an eye patch to ensure mono-Anglo-phile vision and curse you as cheating evil inbred sheep molesting perma tanned tossers. I will be in the pub with my Welsh mate who similarly ocularly challenged will Be doubting the parentage of all the cheating sais mongrel scum.
We will drink quite a lot.
I hope you all have as much fun as we will.

Cheers Nobbled, good luck to you too.

I've tipped England a number of times for this one, and I stick by that. We're probably around our usual level whereas you're improving each week and at some point (if not already) I think you'll pass us and leave us in your wake, such is the depth and talent available to you. Kudos. Lancaster made a hash of a group of players who were much better than the rugby that they played. Eddie seems like the right man to take you forward (if a little gobby like Gats). The future is bright, the future is white (it pains me to say).

I hope it will be close. I'd hate for us to get beaten badly, mainly because of this forum. Ridiculous I know! But should you win then good luck for the slam! But I'm hoping for a close game that hinges on a vital score sometime near the end of the second half. An edge of the seat thriller would be great. Oh, and some running rugby too. That would be great too, thanks.

What a pleasant surprise to stumble upon this thoroughly decent thread. I will be enjoying this match with a mixture of Welsh and English folk who I'm sure will be watching the the afore mentioned monocular vision! There will be beer!! Good luck to everyone but best of luck to the men in white. I'm hoping for a close exciting match but a comfortable last 10 minutes from an English perspective. In reality I'm expecting to be biting my nails to the quick for 82 minutes or so..

Griff.

I too am an England fan. I too wan't England win. Just like you i think it will be a close fought game.

I truly believe if England can stop giving away penalties, either in the kicking range of Biggar, or of any kind they will win......but then i did say if ( they can stop giving away) penalties. the point is can they?

I really do think it will be edge of the seat stuff in the last 10/15 minutes of the game....unless England are clear by that time Wales may come back and win...i hope they don't.

Come on England.

Good luck to England, they're a good team and deserve some silverware. I don't think they'll get it this year but that's just my opinion. Some of the fans also deserve something to shout about so hopefully they won't be waiting much longer (a year longer at least). The plastic fans who frequent this forum (I've previously named them) can go for a stroll, off the edge of the cliff - worst subculture of fans in world rugby by far.

I'll also add that this year I'm a big fan of Quins, Exeter, Wasps and Saracens. All very good teams, ones that should be a blueprint for other clubs aspiring to do well.

Strange and pleasant not to see the usual English posters who leap on anything Welsh and try and turn it into a poopie show while drowning in mock outrage when a Welshman posts anything on their threads.

I dont wish England good luck at all, but only because I want Wales to win.

Let battle commence.

I appreciate what you say about luck with regards to you wanting Wales to win. When I was wishing you luck I really meant it with regards to injuries etc. I'd happily watch Dan Biggar unluckily slip just as he took a penalty obviously! But only because I want England to win thumbsup

All we need are a 'Dear England' thread and 'Well Done England' thread next.
Not expecting them any time soon.

A draw would be hilarious. That means noone would get the bragging rights for a year and the specialist WUMs will continue to antagonise with pure speculation.

Also Craig "Usain Bolt" Joubert is the ref.

Expect controversial decisions and a dire game.

Lets hope both teams play well and get through the game without serious injuries.

May the best team win (they wear a red rose on their shirts).

I am looking forward to seeing the mighty George Ford flatten Doc Roberts the first time he runs down the 10/12 channel.

I was also looking forward to watching England lift the RWC; sometimes little things get in the way of my hopes.

Think he was after a whole thread rather than an individual (albeit well very rounded) post. To be honest though I don't think such a thread would remain good natured for very long!!

It does seem a good idea to clog up the board with more love in threads. What's wrong with just replying to a post already there?

All the best England. Can't see anything except a home win today sadly, but there we go.

I must admit I've been avoiding the main match threads for fear of getting drawn into the inevitable hurricane of derision and petty abuse this fixture generates. It's extremely relieving to come across such a classy thread on the day of the game. Great to know class can still exist in fairly divisive conditions. People talk a lot about specific wums derailing threads but mostly those who give them attention (which I've been guilty of myself in the past) are also to blame. There's often too much focus on these individuals at the expense of a great many respectable posters.

Thank you nobbled for your encouraging words. I hope you and your friend have a fantastic day and best of luck to England...

...against France next weekend! Wink
