Re: France v England - grand slam game
Despite having three home games next year, just for a change England are away from home in their last 6N game. Normality will also probably be restored with the allocation of a SH ref.
Still a repeat scoreline as in 2003 would be nice.....

Re: France v England - grand slam game
Secretfly England have had hard openers in 2014 and 2015, this is just back to business as usual.
Any home game would have done for England but nope away for the 4th time in a row.
6 away games in 7 years in the opener.
How is that fair?

I guess we all have reasons to moan sometimes at the schedules. Although I didn't expect my less-than-serious flippant throw-away comment would get such a response.
It's dangerous in that thar 606 forest!

Re: France v England - grand slam game
secretfly I just didn't realise that the schedule was stacked so much against England.
6 teams in the competition and one has to play away from home 6 out of the last 7 years in the first game.
England have actually done pretty well in their first game in the 6 nations in those years despite that handicap.
