The Dew Drop Inn
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

No offence to the Welsh but I'm gunning for the Barbarians. Two victories for them will be a big boost and keep the special club going.

Wales could do with that winning boost as well Munsty!
Gav needs a good game and it'd be nice for Wellies to have a corker as well.

Strange that for England their game against the BaaBaas was a non-cap game and yet the WRU are giving out caps.
Munsty, I feel the same. I always support the Barbarians as a neutral. It's all part of it.

Just watching the Magners League awards on the RTE Player.
Toby Faletau was receiving his award and was obviously very uncomfortable speaking so-
Joanne Cantwell- "Will I let you escape?"
Toby Faletau- "Please"
Cue laughter and applause.

Notch - to be fair, many of that England team last week were 3rd or 4th choice, plus 5 debutants starting. This is a much stronger Wales team.

Barbarians score but was it a knock on?
No it wasn't. Very good try off the interception by James then good interplay between James, Van Niekerk and Tekori who scored the try.

That Mike Philips tackle to stop Sackey should have been a penalty try.
Anyway, Parisse scores!

Amazing how quick the ball becomes unplayable at the ruck once time is up

Right, missed the whole first half due to actually having to do some work when I was in work- see Barbarians are winning. Anyone want to fill me in on how the teams are looking? Being from Norn Iron I have a particular interest in the Orange Man, Gavin Henson.

Faletau has been good in defence but can't impose himself on the ball.

Williams knocked that ball on on purpose. No way was he attempting to catch that ball.

Clever but I think referees are to hesitant to award it.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn
Notch - 1st try to Wales by North, but Henson's pass was forward. Converted by Jones. Baa Baas try by Tekori following nice handling after an interception. Conv missed by Brock James.
2nd Wales try by Stoddard who intercepted an ran in from 75m. Conv. Baa Baas try by Nacewa, Brew rushed up into the line and left his wing exposed. 2nd Wales try by Stoddard who intercepted an ran in from 75m. Conv.
Parisse try for Baa Baas off the back of a 5m scrum. Poor defending in not anticipating it by Wales' back row.

Munsty - with your ref's hat on
A few minutes ago Huw Bennett was lying onthe ground ; the ball came to him and he grabbed it - surely he was "playing the ball on the ground"? was it legal?

Lots of rare talent on this pitch according to Phil Bennet. Are they really that rare then?

Baa Baas win. 2 from 2 fantastic. I love the Barbarians concept, long may it continue.

Certainly beginning to see the potential of Willie Mason in Union. Involved in both tries with superb offloads.
