The Dew Drop Inn
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Custard - I reckon you're going to be a great addition to the pub!
It is a bit strange that there aren't that many English posters though.

Nottins and Portnoy don't exactly post regularly though. Can we count Asbo - yes he's a full blooded Scotsman but he follows Exeter Chiefs.

Not organic lettuce I hope, Stag?
I'm in a funny mood today. I blame lucky for giving me a platform for my ramblings.

Custard,
It's quality not quantity. That's what the missus tells me, but she lies a lot. Got no choice man.
It really IS good to have you in here though. Feel de rugby-lurve.
We'll make that English 22 yet pal.

Oh dear God!! In soccer news Paul McShane is captaining Ireland now. There is no hope left!
Re: The Dew Drop Inn
Oh Stag, I really thought you would have realised writing the names down wasn't needed. It was all implied.
Oh and I'm not surprised at all by McShane being captain. I'll support Trap and Ireland through whatever they choose but I do find a lot of his selections baffling.

Thomond,
You know a greater knowledge on Irish football than I do. Who is the goalkeeper David Forde?
Also, why hasn't Walters been playing?

If it's the fella I'm thinking of Munsty, he is an ex Derry City keeper now at Millwall as far as I know.
Walters isn't in the squad due to "injury" or so he says.Along with McCarthy.

Like yer style Munsty. Believe.
I actually watched my birth-country's football team, the other night. They are doing really well, on very limited resources. In fairness. Top of the group.
Problem is, I only knew 4 or 5 of the players.
I must do better.com
We played Brazil the other night and man, they really are good on the ball.
Argentina up next, on Weds.

Munsty, I thought Cox did alright the other night. Anyway Super Kev is better than Walters so he won't be starting in a few months. I seem to be in a select group who would like Trap to go. We have a decent crop of young players at the moment who should be getting game time.

Gibbo,
I'm annoyed I didn't get to see the game but it was one of the girls' birthday and we went Salsa dancing.
I support Ireland but if we don't make it to the European Championships, then I think Trap has a lot to answer for as he has been an incredibly negative coach.

Man, aren't you having fun. Salsa is like sex on the dance-floor.
I watched the whole game. Ireland did a job. A job they failed to do vs the same team when we had so many foreign stars in our side way back.
I was proud tbh. Are they all Irish?
Thomond is the inside-man for Irish soccer. I tend to listen to him on that score. He knows his onions from grass-roots up.

Technically they're all Irish but I know what you mean.
There were only 3 non-Irish born players in the squad.
