Terry Downes - What a diamond!!

Saw the episode on ringside where he was honored...What a fighter in and out the ring, charming, humble and charismatic guy....Real glass half full kind of person.

Knew of him from the Pender fights as my Father/Grandfather were huge Pender fans...mainly Grandpa who rated him "terribly" highly...They fought a trilogy of fights and my Grandad did tell me of this troublesome British guy when he used to regale me of his stories of a bygone era....

I used to miss my Grandpa......(Then I learned to punch straight!! )

Great to see Downes fighting on from his ordeals and showing true spirit..

Bonafide world champion and true character as was your Fredddie Mills..

Hope he goes on forever..
